Well I'm regarding this as something of a port in a storm. Reluctant at this point to go overweight in it, but it offers some stability in what has been a torrid fortnight. Comex does look positive though, and on this, MACD has turned up.

It's about time that GPM's share price chart started to look a bit more like this one:



HUI is up 20% from its low.
GPM up 5%.

Could there be an overhang after that big volume day?

gold might be breaking out to upside.
have bought some GPM, as it should be a leveraged play on a rising gold price.
if gold makes new lows, then ill get out....

People having to take below bid to get even relatively small amounts away - 19.5p & 19.26p the last two trades, vs 20p bid. Going lower it seems.

The HUI potential IHS failed. All looking a bit grim at the moment. Although that could be a positive if I'm getting negative.

Came down somewhat yesterday but holding up well against rest of the market. Other PM's look like further to fall, so guess this will not be exempt.

as an alternative to GPM, have you considered SPGP, the ETF which tracks large gold miners.

it does not have the discount attraction of GPM, but is not illiquid, and shoudl track the HUI more closely,

Looking increasingly like the bottom has been reached. 3 months now bouncing along, and now the MACD turning up. I think there will be time to increase here, though. No immediate hurry.

There seems to be a growing divergence to the HIYO (Gold HUI Bugs index) which GPM has tracked quite consistently ......any new news as to why this might be the case?

I haven't got a great deal of cash in GPM and I'm having a punt with a fairly tight stop loss if it breaks 21p. It's for a bit of excitement while my other holdings are vegetating.

wywey, far be it from me to advise, but I think pms may be - just may be- entering an interesting time. Currently don't hold any, but keeping a close eye on the usual suspects, including GPM, which has all but completed its cycle down to 20p.

My finger has been close to the sell button for the last couple of days, with a break down in POG looking possible, but there is a potential IHS forming on the HUI to keep an eye on.
