As I suspected with GPM there's a turn tonight in New York with the precious metals. The miners are up from their lows earlier in the day. So much for that.

GPM is showing relative strength here, compared with how it barely advanced in early November before the US Election despite strong buying. If it holds near this price this is a swing point right here or very near. In other words it's time to buy. I've slowly come to a view that the price action in GPM, because of its widespread holdings, is one of the leading indicators in PM stocks, a bit like GFI, RIC, MUX, SA, etc. and not always, as one might expect, a reactive one.

Looks like jiggery pokery to me. Remind me never to invest in gold, it always goes either well or badly but I never understand why.

Higher than average.

Last time NAV was 51.5, the bid was 43.5p

Does seem a strange disconnect between the price of gold and the value of gold miners. Perhaps that will unwind, but at present last weeks buy doesn't seem that well timed.

GPM investments on the ASX were down 5% on average yesterday. Hopefully, they should bounce back when the market opens later.

I agree. This is one of my main core PM holdings, too. I also think it will bail out anyone who bought higher over the next few months.
