16/8/2017 15:21 | I have will have to wait til next week before I can go short --- 345p is good price. | younasm
16/8/2017 15:12 | 350 is the hurdle to jump....and who knows where this could go | mbmiah
16/8/2017 14:49 | Glen is out performing simply because it is the Best Mining* stock - * It is much more than a Mining stock of course. Diversification is key! | gxgxx
16/8/2017 14:32 | not sure why GLEN is outperforming other mining stocks today ! | arja
16/8/2017 11:38 | Glen is in the best place for car batteries, can provide nickel, zinc, cobalt, copper; not sure about Lithium. Future is looking bright. | berber1
16/8/2017 02:12 | What stake do GLEN have in Katanga Mining? Is there any chance of them losing DRC licences? | limajane
14/8/2017 12:23 | Glencore buying rio tintos aluminium? | mbmiah
12/8/2017 21:47 | Glad everyone's (not) enjoying it! | manics
12/8/2017 15:51 | Dremel - agree with everything you said about Threads - sounds like we were watching it at the same time - not the best Friday night I've ever had! | twixy
11/8/2017 22:47 | Just seen that Threads, cant say I have ever heard of it before ?, but after seeing it. Well, I agree, its HORRIFIC . Kinda makes share dealing look Totally insignificant . Back to Glen, I,m holding, nothing wrong with Glen, in fact it seems to be in rude health, even gets good press nowadays too . Market conditions are never a good reason to sell, if the bomb drops, I,ll sell, if I still have a working index finger, working keyboard and everything that goes with it . | dremel
11/8/2017 22:45 | I do agree equities are too high ( they were higher earlier in the week). Unfortunately markets regularly make unexpected turns --- right now everyone is calling the top --- so I think the sell-off will only come from much higher levels, when the bears stop screaming for a big correction.I have been buying long term protection when relevant stocks are overbought and creating 12-month highs. I also make profits going short -- daily / weekly positions --- that seems work well on most stocks.Have a good weekend all. | younasm
11/8/2017 18:26 | Although I should add the only miners I have areGlen, kaz and solg.I have no oilers.Largest holding is IQE. | brahmsnliszt
11/8/2017 18:25 | As a wise owl on another chat room said todayNever sell on political events, these are buying opportunities.Always consider selling on bad business or earnings news.Wise words indeed. I'm with manics. I remain fully invested. | brahmsnliszt
11/8/2017 18:20 | I'm balls deep. Miners bounce good and hard over the next 10 sessions imo. NK gets shrugged off for the nonsense it is. Chart puts in a cup & handle. Too many in cash. Too many calling a top imo. | manics
11/8/2017 17:50 | Salty - I bought back in to GLEN on the drop; the pullback looked too good to ignore. No doubt time will tell, though I am similar to you in that I am currently 80% cash. Good luck. | twixy
11/8/2017 17:04 | I sold all my equity investments today, my entire portfolio. The Dow's trading at all time highs, the yield in US stocks is now unsustainable and Trump is going to be a disaster for the US. What goes up must come down and I'm now going to sit on cash and wait for it to happen. The warning signs are there for all to see so I'm out. Salty | saltaire111
11/8/2017 13:28 | Calmed down a bit hey? | mbmiah
11/8/2017 10:55 | Manics - I might have to put this on the weekend movie watch list. Although I'll be watching it from behind the sofa! | villarich
11/8/2017 10:39 | (sorry for the OT). It's funny because so many fans of the horror genre have never heard of Threads. -30 years later and it's still disgusting and unsettling critics and audiences alike. Give it a go and let me know what you think. Beats watching the miners today! ;) | manics
11/8/2017 10:23 | Manics - I haven't seen Threads but just read the plot outline on Wikipedia. It sounds horrendous | villarich
11/8/2017 09:52 | I'm looking forward to the a remake of Dr Strangelove, with The Donald riding the missile into Pyongyang Yee Haaaarr! | villarich
11/8/2017 09:40 | dremel: that's for beginners. If you want to experience the real deal then may I put forward the horrendous "Threads". Brutal film. | manics
11/8/2017 09:28 | Glencore will start moving upwards again when all this "nuclear" dust settles, hopefully ?. Now, where is that old film ?, "When the wind blows", might come in handy . | dremel
11/8/2017 09:01 | This North Korea - US stand off is nonsense. Neither side will do anything, it's just posturing and a chance for Toddler Trump to deflect attention away from his appalling presidency. But it's a great opportunity for the Market Makers to mark prices down and refill their warehouses. | villarich
11/8/2017 08:48 | brave but very risky to do that as the Dow could drop much further in nextfew days before it recovers . maybe not warfare but markets hate uncertainty and Kim is a nutcase ! | arja |
