25/8/2017 13:26 | It is very difficult to move this giant of a company. Looks as if investors are slowly coming back and realising the potential in this bull market of the new world of energy, ( ( EV's, New infrastructure, new cable grids...the sky is the limit) the only way is up, 400p will be bridged soon. | berber1
24/8/2017 23:33 | Hi Prewer, it is only an optimistic guess from me. I noted that there was hardly any comments in this thread, I thought I will try to create some debate and get everyone excited. Sorry I could not be of much help. However my optimism is based on the fact that we have very good management and all the materials that company produces are rising very sharply on the demand created by the Electrical Vehicles EV (copper, zinc, cobalt and nickel ) and the energy sector coal and oil @gas with their recent JV with Rosneft and agriculture expansion ..., I believe the company share price is held up with the huge debt which will be sorted because of the recent. Pom on mining sector. I believe the share price will move very sharply at some point. | berber1
24/8/2017 18:59 | Thanks berber, very helpful, I hope your target price is achieved as a holder here but tbh won't be swayed much either way by yours or any other unsupported 'guesses' | prewar
24/8/2017 18:11 | Prewar I leave to you to prove it otherwise. | berber1
24/8/2017 17:54 | dremel Anyone buying ahead of an ex dividend date gets the next dividend. So newcomers buying now and even those buying after a special dividend is announced will get it if buying before share goes ex dividend. | kenmitch
24/8/2017 17:22 | Berber maybe it would help to post some detail behind your target price workings. | prewar
24/8/2017 17:20 | That is your opinion. There is no need to call it ridiculous. Everyone to his opinion. I do believe that glen is worth more than 600p. However, I must admit that, in these market conditions it may be a wishful thinking. | berber1
24/8/2017 11:08 | 600p when - 3years maybe - ridiculous comment they will continue to reduce debt/build cash until big play on Bunge or usa large agri small deals ongoing - coal in Australia - all centralised for supply for trading division 6 months target £4 18 months £4.5-5 is all goes above current expectations I love this stock - but roce still lowest of large cap miners | russell250
24/8/2017 10:46 | Instead of paying a special div, it would be better to reduce the debt massively to dessimate the shorters that are holding down the sp, then we will get to see the real value of the company may be around 600p. | berber1
24/8/2017 09:30 | Can,t see how a special div would put this at 450 ?, its only for the people that held through the crisis, unless I,m missing something ?, newcomers would not be eligible, and so it should be, all those chicken livered holders that cut and ran should not get an extra penny . Heroes like me and others should, plus a medal, well, people today get medals just for booting footballs around and none too accurately too . Just saying like . | dremel
24/8/2017 00:27 | A special dividend would put this at 450 easy | mbmiah
23/8/2017 17:48 | 3 year High September 2014 was the last time Glencore was this high before it slipped inexorably lower. Now the good times are back. Yes I have not forgotten the 'Special' £10 Billion dividend although I think this cash has been spent on recent acquisitions. This is why I now expect the more reasonable 2x-3x amounts e.g. a slice of £2-3 Billion for us next time. The 'Special' divi would be a great bonus and surprise of course ;-))) | gxgxx
23/8/2017 17:29 | 24/02/17The hint of a special dividend is separate to the $1bn that Glencore has already pledged to pay out for its 2016 financial year, and draws a definitive line under its turnaround. | uncertain times
23/8/2017 15:45 | Hinted? When? | mbmiah
23/8/2017 15:25 | gxgxxPlus the special dividend that Glasenberg hinted at, which could be substantial if they hold fire on acquisitions. | uncertain times
23/8/2017 14:52 | £5 is my target price. This is a £100 Billion company all day long. once the September dividend is out the way expect at least 2x-3x the dividends to follow.... | gxgxx
23/8/2017 12:29 | There she is....350Probably dip tomorrow but we're on the way to beyond! | mbmiah
23/8/2017 12:06 | MMs really squeezing that sub 350 | mbmiah
23/8/2017 11:58 | Why ask about dividend here? Just google glencore dividend date 2017. Record date: Friday 8th September | mbmiah
23/8/2017 11:52 | i didn't see anything about div. how much is it? | tines
23/8/2017 11:05 | "Ask not for whom 350p tolls, it tolls for thee". (ex-div Sep 7th). | manics
23/8/2017 10:00 | Is there a divi shortly. | heliweli
23/8/2017 08:48 | So it must be today - The wall is tough but once we breach it let's see where we end up | gxgxx
22/8/2017 16:54 | Arghhhhh!!! Trade High 349.87 Tommorrow ;-) | gxgxx
22/8/2017 16:54 | Some right idiots on this board. | rackers1 |
