Another 50 million euro buyback confirmed today. Should help. |
Definitely the quietest board, so much so, it has been 90 days since I have seen your reply as it was so unexpected. Very promising start this morning but I am sure it will settle down to a more modest gain. |
Must be the quietest thread on Advfn - Interesting company but appears to have been going nowhere (apart from fluctuations) over the last few years. |
Upgraded guidance, very good news |
Good news confirming the new £50m shares buyback and cancellation of those shares. Will help the share price |
Be interesting to see how this opens on the news of the Co op sale and figures at the upper end of expectations.Couple that with the share buybacks and investment for growth from here and it should open well up IMO.Debt going too. |
Stunning results, way ahead of market expectations. Increased dividend and a share buyback. Take over of another business in the pipeline. The market is going to like this IMO. |
Great trading update, exceeding market expectations. Should rise nicely this morning IMO. |
Hi,
Can someone please kindly confirm which figure is correct.
Stock: GLB- Glanbia
Stockopedia is reporting the current net Debt figure as €604m however on the glanbia investors anuual report the net debt states: €493.9m
I queried this with Stockopedia and received the following repsonse:
Thanks for this. We most probably use a different definition of net debt. We define it as total debt (768.39) minus cash and short-term investments (164.30), where total debt represents total interest-bearing debt outstanding; it does not include derivative liabilities. If the company report treats line-items -for example derivative liabilities and/or short-term investment- differently, then the end result would, of course, change.
Thanks in advance |
More than steady progress! Another set of excellent results. |
52 week high now and continuing its northerly direction. |
Great to see the continuation of the share price in a northerly direction.Looking well placed for further growth. |
Growth plus a share buy back of 50 million. More steady progress in a less than steady economic situation. All looks good to me and should see a rise from here. |
All dividend now received. |
Danj Still waiting for mine. Usually two days after so I would expect it by now. I will certainly check tomorrow and see what is happening if it is not there. |
Has anyone received their dividend from Glanbia? It was supposed to be paid on the 2nd of Oct but it has still not come through. Thanks |
as it stands at the moment, the PE is 36+..............how tenable is that? |
interesting......a former AIB comes on board.......that is impressive....! |

Wex - GLB has just come on my radar. Looks very solid so will probably be investing in the near future. Thanks for the link to the blog. Visited once already and found it very useful. |
