21/5/2020 16:29 | Uppity we like! | bamboo2
21/5/2020 14:57 | Yep, good to see it moving in the right direction. Base business + cash + property is worth 25p-35p even if it doesnt really grow and you make very conservative estimates | adamb1978
21/5/2020 13:17 | Nice to see some upward movement continuing here today. Despite that, GTC remains significantly undervalued.Possibil | hastings
19/5/2020 13:44 | Anyone interested in covid immune stocks OMIP worth a look. Rocky recent history as streaming took over from downloads. Flat chart, improving, which pretty much describes the business itself. Not a trading stock | yump
18/5/2020 17:49 | Yump, there could be additional trades behind the scenes, not yet visible. Furthermore, sellers will probably be unwilling to let go at these prices unless forced. edit added, if looking for other mispricing it could be worth looking at some of Woodford's and Invesco's holdings. Many of these have been given jumble sale prices in order to raise cash. TRX is one that I am keeping an eye on. | bamboo2
18/5/2020 17:45 | yump, now we have crossed the 11p challenge, 20p should be relatively easy. 200sma has dropped to approx 21.3 and historical resistance remains at approx 20p. Quite a few different reversal patterns can be applied, depending on how the price action unfolds over the next few weeks. Still early days in the price recovery, so still time for others to get on board if interested. | bamboo2
18/5/2020 17:24 | So the day ended up 20% with approx. £30,000 of buys. Not often you see that. I suspect a few panicky sales back at 20p+ because of the oil price drop and covid, caused the mm's to drop the price to something daft. Must be a few other businesses around that have been misjudged. | yump
18/5/2020 12:55 | Won't take a lot of buying to see this more sensibly priced. After today's, the next potential turn I have showing on my chart is 3-4/6/2020 | bamboo2
18/5/2020 12:09 | Very true yump. Worth looking back at what the broker had to say exactly a year go regarding the licensing round in Sierra Leone. "Licencing round excitement The Fourth Sierra Leone Licensing Round in-particular offers significant upside potential, with data licensing deals having the potential to be announceable in their own right. Any material successes from this route could be accretive to current forecasts". Of course, that process which Getech supported was extended and has I feel largely been forgotten. However the licensing round closed in February as noted by African Oil Week Sierra Leone Launched in May 2019 and supported by Getech, Sierra Leone’s fourth Licensing round bid deadline was extended from November 2019 to February 2020 and has now closed. The Director General of the PDSL recently revealed that they had received 6 applications for the 5 blocks on offer. No doubt Getech will update from its perspective in due course. | hastings
18/5/2020 11:56 | Well its become very interesting at this level, considering the update, the cash and the assets. Those are relatively small trades. Perhaps there's a few folk looking for bargains where the share price has been hit a bit randomly. In terms of actually doing business, GTC themselves presumably don't need much physical contact with customers and they are nowhere near as dependent on the oil price/exploration as they used to be. | yump
18/5/2020 08:53 | Added a few more this morning. [20k] First objective has to be an eod close above 50sma and historical resistance at 11 [p, not am!] | bamboo2
14/5/2020 10:56 | I've bought into GTC over the last few days. Its not the sort of thing I invest in (i.e. largely a value play), however given that the market seems to be attributing a negative value to the operational business, it feels like an investment with limited to no downside. One decent trading update, where people can put a value on the trading business and I think the share price can double very quickly. I'm looking for 25p-35p share price within a year from now | adamb1978
05/5/2020 10:49 | Cheers bamboo2, nice to have your company again, let's hope it is successful again. | hastings
05/5/2020 10:40 | I've also been topping up here following the trading update. This is just priced too low and, long-term effects on the oil industry aside, assumes no value for the ongoing business or value of the IP. One observation I have from the ground (I work in a data/tech industry in a sales role) is that while the covid lockdown has pushed out purchasing decisions to some extent, the earlier stages of the sales cycle are happening more quickly - less travel means more efficiency, and people's availability for conf calls is greatly improved. So I expected some positive surprises in terms of revenues, whereas the market is basically saying these will go to zero in the short run. I'd expect this to be back to 20-30p over a 12 month period. | courant
05/5/2020 10:27 | Hi hastings, H&S pattern exceeded tp [13.6] and looks done. Potential turn on the chart 28-29/4/2020 confirmed. First obstacle is 50sma overhead at 12.3 200sma overhead nr historical resistance at 21.9 Target price 20 to hit overhead gap and historical resistance. Need to see how chart shapes up to produce more defined tp. Took a few. 30k at 10.9 | bamboo2
05/5/2020 10:00 | Averaged up I should say, doh! | hastings
05/5/2020 09:56 | Hi bamboo2 I hold some from higher levels but have averaged down after the update.I think you'll find IP group is out now and Business Growth Fund along with the other major holder has absorbed. What's your chart say? | hastings
05/5/2020 08:41 | Hi hastings, I hope you are well. Did you buy any yet? IP Group have approx 11% DMTR is another of theirs on the move from lows. [Position in IPO, but not GTC or DMTR] | bamboo2
05/5/2020 08:16 | A few people taken advantage of recent bombed out lows. Recent update shows net cash and surplus property more or less equals mkt cap, so business in for next to nothing. Some very good tech hence a decent client list. | hastings
26/2/2020 10:26 | 8 year low and falling - Nobody cares - Should (imo) be taken private and avoid listing costs BUT is it sufficiently viable for any vulture to care? | pugugly
24/1/2020 10:51 | Guess its another year of waiting around this share price level to see what happens. At one point x years ago they produced 3p earnings from 7mln revenue, but I think there was a one-off in there from memory. But they are clearly quite heavily geared to an increase in revenue - on the day that there's nothing else going on ! At least its not just some vaguely specified pipeline that is increasing - the order book is as well. | yump
24/1/2020 09:47 | Versus most companies pre close trading updates which just say in line or whatever, I'd say GTC have provided more detail But get your point | pireric
24/1/2020 09:26 | Fair enough but why not provide it? It makes it look like they have even more to hide than all the problems they have detailed. | shanklin
24/1/2020 09:09 | Shanklin they give enough detail to quickly work it out so think you're being a little harsh £6m revenue £6.4m mid case cash operating costs (i.e. adjusted) Interest expense you can pencil in £50k probably Gets you adj PBT | pireric
24/1/2020 08:07 | Pathetic that GTC give guidance on EBITDA but not on either PBT or adjusted PBT (separating out the write-downs). | shanklin |
