The stench of IP Group has finally been erased. The lifting of their overhang is great news for the share price going forward (it wouldn't have been this low in the first place if it weren't for IP).
Reason: IP have been caught up in the backwash of Neil Woodford's demise. Woodford's forced selling of IP shares have pushed its shares to a big discount to asset value. Rightly or wrongly, IP believe they need address this discount with an increase in cash and more liquid securities.

Looks as though true price to buy for PI's shold be in region of 21p MM's ripping off the poor PI - Also very difficult usually to trade in any volume ususally - (imo) - If it was IP group selling out - reason?

Looks like more than 4.1 million shares traded - but have mainly been taken up - Will be interesting to see which II has sold out and which ones have taken up.

Crikey 3p would shift the share price. Don't know where I got 1.5p from. Even 2p would do as that growth rate in theory would jump the p/e.

If it comes to pass, I guess the most important thing is that the increasing recurring revenues would make forecasting future growth more reliable. If that could be pencilled in, then the share price might be a bit more stable.

Hi Yump, ok so this mornings note reiterates the previous one which expects current year pre-tax profit of £1m with EPS of 3.1p moving to £1.2m and 3.7p. That could prove conservative though and then along with the improved net cash position there's the property in Leeds which will be sold at some point!

I've got a note of 1.5p eps but no date next to it, so I don't think its right ?

At the open this morning the shares stood on PER of 7.6 falling to 6 next year. Not surprisingly, someone or more decided it was worth tucking into!

Yes, they've done well despite the slightly cheesy ads. They remind me of some of the US ads where the owner has put up their own dodgy video to advertise their car lot ;-)

On a more serious note, its interesting the share price moved on a miniscule volume, which is showing as a sell but presumably is a buy.

I suppose it’s getting there - a bit ‘nothing to see here yet’ share. Perhaps the potential oil supply problems and price will lead to an upturn in the exploration driven sales.

"Getech is exploring a range of organic and acquisitional opportunities to further enhance and extend its product and service offering."

Plus the increased cash position.
