10/1/2018 12:24 | Playful, Do you have a man on the ground in Sierra Leone? | cockerhoop
10/1/2018 12:00 | I've been holding for a few years also. Managed to average down a little, but need this to go over and stay above 50p to make some reasonable profits. Price of oil has slowly risen to $60 per barrel, and this will be leading to the big oilies starting up their exploration and development again. So hopefully we can see more work coming GTC's way! | jaykaytee
10/1/2018 11:52 | We will be back @ 40p soon enough. | playful
10/1/2018 11:05 | Hopefully this time the results and outlook will prompt it to stay up as I bought a load at 25p when it was there in 2016 and then didn't sell at 40p ! Trouble is with these smaller companies you never know where the share price is going to settle - it only takes a few persistent or heavy buyers or sellers to change the support and resistance levels, when you least expect it. | yump
10/1/2018 11:00 | Good man, was going to buy more myself, pared my holding as a security, but it is a good little company! | bookbroker
10/1/2018 10:55 | Bought a few more this morning. I only bought about 20k with an order for more and look at the effect !!! | hybrasil
20/12/2017 14:15 | That directors buy is extremely positive. Bought another 10k on its strength | hybrasil
18/12/2017 09:05 | This is too cheap on the balance of cash and assets, the fall suggests a lack of contract news, and a move to full year reporting which may not look good, perhaps even a negative outlook statement, but there has to be value here on the basis of a move away from revenues solely generated by the oil and gas business, but it will take time. | bookbroker
13/12/2017 16:31 | bounce seems to be wearing off and heading back down - Oil is on a slow decline (according to the pundits - global warming solar powever - electric cars etc ) so what long term prospects for Getech - ? | pugugly
21/11/2017 14:33 | bought some more today | hybrasil
20/11/2017 19:56 | The Getech presentation from our Leeds seminar on the 14th November is available here: | sharesoc
16/11/2017 10:14 | I was also in attendance. The CEO Jonathan came across very well and he has obvious experience in the industry, so a sensible hand on the wheel I’d say. What I wanted to know was why on earth do they have such a majestic office and trust me it’s as majestic as you can get here in Yorkshire… The good news is they own Elmete Hall albeit with a small debt outstanding and its on the books probably well undervalued, so you must think it’s worth perhaps 2M+ so that is good to know for such a small cap. Don’t get fixated with the Oil & Gas thing just think Big Data and applications elsewhere, which is what the CEO seems to be doing. I will be at their AGM | playful
16/11/2017 09:43 | I was at the Sharesoc session this week and this was the first time I had heard of GTC. I would simply say the CEO was impressive.....as is his CV and I have now put GTC on my watch list. | gerihatrick
16/11/2017 09:05 | Yump, Maynard Payton was also in attendance and he has written up his thoughts on his blog. Qvg, I was also there, was impressed with the new CEO, he's made some difficult decisions regards costs and refreshed senior management. Hopefully these will bear fruit. | cockerhoop
16/11/2017 07:50 | Already in. Could you summarise if poss ? | yump
16/11/2017 07:31 | A very interesting presentation on Tuesday. Thank you sharesoc. CEO is clearly enthused by the opportunity. Anybody else thinking of buying? | qvg
13/11/2017 14:24 | Getech present at our next Leeds seminar on the 14th November, more details here: | sharesoc
02/11/2017 12:30 | bought a few more today | hybrasil
01/11/2017 13:11 | I have been buying today. Doesn't seem to be much stock around | hybrasil
31/10/2017 16:15 | Ill-timing surely depends on what timeframe you're working on. I started my first internet site in 1998 and it was rubbish for 2 years, but it was in place when things took off and was very cheap to build compared to equivalent prices charged when everyone got very excited 2000 onwards. Some luck involved there, but if I'd waited until it seemed more rational... | yump
31/10/2017 10:12 | Pug, They do amortize a similar amount 799k compared to 913k so it doesn't distort the picture too much imo. Cautiously optimistic outlook, look forward to chatting to them in Leeds on the 14th November. | cockerhoop
31/10/2017 08:01 | Capitalised costs most likely due to ill-timed acquisitions and the value within the know-how they brought, otherwise it’s simply on the Globe investment, get it done with! | bookbroker
31/10/2017 07:55 | Do not like the large amount of Capitalised Costs - (imo) distorts the overall picture - Still a very challenging marketplace - Still got to do detailed crunch of report but not jumping in at the moment. (Sorry to be negative but that is how I read it) | pugugly |
