08/9/2017 13:00 | £7m mkt cap, £2.5m cash, probably trading near asset value, but Writedowns on I'll-timed acquisitions I guess, they are trying to diversify income stream, Copus needs to be more ruthless on costs, but this has to be value! | bookbroker
08/9/2017 12:24 | Looks like no one cares any longer - 92,994 SOLD at 23.10p Oil price in decline looks as though could be in over supply for a few years LPG also falling and FT today suggests could have further to fall a new production comes on line so (imo) less to be spent on Getech's main products - | pugugly
01/8/2017 11:39 | Sure, but this co. is attempting to broaden their product offering away from oil geophysics to more general environmental context, this is where the future remains! | bookbroker
01/8/2017 11:12 | It does seem like we're going to get a disappointing update soon, by the looks of the share price. Terrible chart. $50 oil just doesn't excite anyone to do more exploration. | boonkoh
01/8/2017 10:05 | Off nearly 30% since May, clearly trading conditions are extremely difficult, and since no contract announcements in the run up to fiscal year end I am assuming that next statement will be negative, but this could be a value play, not sure that the acquisition of ERCL in 2015 well-timed, but that's history, and I expect a goodwill write down here, thankfully the company is backed by strong cash balances, but the grind-down continues! | bookbroker
10/7/2017 14:24 | Outlook doesn't look great with oil prices under renewed pressure recently. So the upside might be delayed, which explains the slide in the share price recently. Personally I feel its undervalued, but then again how long will we have to wait for oil prices to swing up and producers to open the exploration purse strings.... | boonkoh
10/7/2017 14:20 | I had a sneaky top up this morning...don't think they will fall much further. I'm hoping for positive news in the run up to the results. NAI. | jaykaytee
17/5/2017 13:22 | They haven't stated what they expect for this yr as far as I know Except to be materially better than last, profitable, leaner, cash generating and diversifying from oil only The directors have been buying which gives me confidence | big7ime
17/5/2017 13:19 | Boonkah I was a bit perplexed by the fact they called it the company's expectations (which could be anything) rather than the market/analyst expectation which are public or at least semi-public | zoolook
17/5/2017 10:06 | Early days, the stabilising of oil price is starting to impact spending again and GTC has positioned itself well for the recovery | big7ime
17/5/2017 09:07 | But FY results still expected to be in line? Looks like GTC were behind expectations and this deal helped to save this year's performance. | boonkoh
17/5/2017 08:14 | Chart looking good for a nice rise also | the big fella
17/5/2017 08:07 | Yes a notable sale which should help raise its profile | the big fella
17/5/2017 07:55 | 'Substantial'. Nice word. And it's jam today. share price should take off today. Well done Getech | zoolook
17/5/2017 07:21 | Nice chunky sale of data. I feel confident enough to post after this mornings announcement ;-) | yump
12/5/2017 17:32 | I should have learnt that by now - its happened rather a lot ! I will return in a month or so ;-) | yump
12/5/2017 16:00 | Yump, stop posting then! Your post has now set back the uptrend of GTC. :) | boonkoh
12/5/2017 15:30 | Looks like the time to buy is when nobody is posting much, but the chart looks promising - probably goes for many purchasing decisions if you like the share generally. Very few posts ever, where people say they've been buying at the bottom of a rising trendline. | yump
08/5/2017 20:38 | Getech pure Yorkshire....buy right sell right - well bought, as good already sold, etc., etc. f | fillipe
08/5/2017 17:35 | I Think so He somehow manages to get them much cheaper than the mkt price so guess those at 29/30 are also director buys We shall see soon enough.. | big7ime
08/5/2017 17:24 | Some interesting late trades reported, especially the 300k purchase. Hopefully a Director buy ! | the big fella
08/5/2017 12:56 | Every little helps, and more or less flows to the bottom line due to the fixed cost nature of GTC! | boonkoh
07/5/2017 20:20 | I think a few others did, the share price went down on the day! It's not an enormous contract - 8 companies picked up deals totalling £1.5m but the GTC work share looked more valuable then some to my biased eyes. So maybe £300k at a guess. But more to come from the OGA. | cockerhoop
06/5/2017 21:35 | Completely missed this the other day: 02 May 2017 Getech Extends Support to the OGA As part of their ongoing commitment to encourage further activity in under explored areas of the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS), the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) has announced the purchase of a comprehensive suite of subsurface datasets and other information sources. Getech, an existing OGA supplier and providers of data and information expertise to the natural resources sector, was awarded a further contract; for the supply of satellite derived gravity data covering the entire UKCS. The package of data sold is a subset of an innovative global dataset developed by Getech through the combination of newly available satellite altimetry with advances in our proprietary processing methods. This has enabled Getech to create a spectacular new gravity data set with comparable resolution to conventional regional 2D ship borne surveys. | yump |
