11/12/2000 08:25 | So what do folks think? We have strong sudden price rises this morning ....now up 8.06%....on little apparent buying. Do the mm's know something in advance of us ? (like the results are about to come out and they are good, as Hemmings predicted).......or do we think it will show up later, as large buying first thing this morning pushing the price up (showing up as late trades). Interested in peoples opinion. Still, nice start to the week. :O) | mungoa
11/12/2000 08:15 | So.....price up 8% just after opening..... Big Late trades from this morning will show up......or.... would it be that as usual the mm's are first to know that the results are coming and they are good? | mungoa
11/12/2000 08:07 | Price is going up........and....... One MM has now gone up to 35p Nice start to Monday | mungoa
11/12/2000 01:25 | Thanks. I never saw that go through and I'm sure I was looking at the trades page last Friday at 16:45, or even later! It'll be intriguing if it wasn't auction man buying. I wonder if one of the institutions is averaging down? Regards, 66 (oops) | adipaul
10/12/2000 22:58 | Somebody bought 100,000 shares just before the bell | mungoa
10/12/2000 18:16 | Noticed the sells tailed off on Friday afternoon, after the news on Thursday. I think we've seen the last of the "quick profit" guys and large sellers. | adipaul
09/12/2000 00:58 | Thanks Dave Yup, you always get a bit of a slip back/dip the day after gains like that. Hemmings price targets are what is interesting. | mungoa
09/12/2000 00:34 | Mungoa. This is what is in the Guardian, I think that the speculation refers to what Hemmings is going to do in the future Gearhouse Group The Guardian reports the elevation of entrepreneur and stake builder John Hemming to the board of audio-video hire company Gearhouse Group's board saw shares gain a further 4p to 32.5p. Profit Taking today I see | dave46
08/12/2000 14:45 | I think he said a strong buy up to 60p before results come out. When you bear in mind that these were 395p two years ago (pre tech bubble) and the core business is still strong, albeit alongside more tech interests, then it's a fantasy that could happen. Sweet dreams! Paul | adipaul
08/12/2000 14:25 | Yup....an expected dip today.....to be expected after 18.75% and 14.04 % gains in two days. Not many sellers actually (15), and only a paltry £30k of stock sold. No wonder the mm's are shaking the tree....they need to make some margins. Hemmings target figures are what interest me. 50p/60p short term !! | mungoa
08/12/2000 14:06 | Not surprised to see some profit taking today. With the results I expect there will be an announcement outlining the strategy of the new management which, I am sure, will be very favourably received. That's when we could jump to 60-80p. As these are coming out at anytime before the end of the year, I think it a little risky to jump out and in again. Some people feel they are overdue now. Anyway, here is a little reading courtesy of citywire. | adipaul

08/12/2000 00:57 | Note also that price ranges 50+p are closer, as John does not miss an opportunity to spread the word to the press about the strength of GHG by combining his statement with the information about the deal to supply the exhib centre. | mungoa
08/12/2000 00:33 | Yup...we should have bought more yesterday. John Hemmings has some pretty exciting short term targets for this stock. See free thread. :O) | mungoa
08/12/2000 00:27 | mungoa......did Action Man buy in before the rise .....I hope he did.....The stock has to be in very short supply now... | boyblue
08/12/2000 00:23 | Have bought in today . Stock would appear to be very short as only possible to buy in 5,000 shares per deal. Many thanks M for level 2 info, the more is revealed how it actually enables dealing descisions, the sooner I shall be tempted to join! | lrguk
08/12/2000 00:15 | Well said Mungoa.......I would also like to add my congratulations to John and wish him success. I am with you and looking for long term growth on this one... | boyblue
07/12/2000 11:58 | John has advised us all he will no longer be posting from Today. I know he reads here so Congratulations to you John, and as I said elsewhere for the rest of us: *) Remember his price targets.....and these are relatively short term too *) Impatience coupled with greed means you miss out much bigger gains from GHG as the stock price goes through wavering blips on its way up. Regards | mungoa
07/12/2000 11:47 | Well lets hope this could mean some good news for the Gear House share price. It has just been announced that John Hemming who recently acquired over 13% has been appointed to the board. Hemming has an excellent investment record and is already involved in high technology companies. There are also rumours that he has a finger in the entertainment industry pie. It was interesting to see the share price rising this morning. Was this a reaction to rumours of the announcement? If so what do people think it will do now the announcement has been made. | millytheminx

07/12/2000 10:48 | Well you were right mungoa! Any news on GHG yet? Is this simply a reaction to John H. possiblt addition to the board? The impending results? or something else Damn I wish I put more in, I backed PRE full heartedly (it looks like I should have backed this!) All the best Dave | dave46
