13/12/2000 21:56 | Mungoa I for one value your contributions. Well thought out and constructive. Keep it up. Pity about Bruno. Frau: No need to stick your oar. I have yet to see you add value on a thread. | bobsmum

13/12/2000 21:47 | Well I figured it was a matter of time before this genius joined in. You see Bruno specialises in losing money....oh and telling people what to do. He's a real genius. Don't take my word for it.......read back on his posts (not many listed under this name Bruno though). I should have known if I questioned the PRE status quo (see its chart for indication) I'd be jumped on. Its a real pity as this thread was informative, positive and good-humoured until then. We'll never know the truth with Bruno....just dont follow his advice. Here is a startling example from the SSL thread: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SSL thread: More upside ? jimbo1 - 26 Oct'00 - 20:31 On a technical view it seems SSL International has some more to run over the next few days. Take a look at the chart and notice the trend that has developed. I was in today @ 760p and am looking for a move above 820p. Any views ? Bruno001 - 17 Nov'00 - 10:48 - 1 of 14 Jimbo I can personally guarantee that this share will see 950p by the end of this month ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Well the stock floored from the next day onwards as its TA said it would. This person may have lost real money, important money for a spouse, kids etc....this is what is worst about bb's....the ramping. Believe me, people lose a lot of money following such "advice". But what is so dissappointing is Bruno is here and now we get his harsh reaction here on this thread. Am I alone in thinking this is not the way to develop a constructive/informa | mungoa
13/12/2000 21:24 | I have a substantial stakes in GHG and PRE but cant help wondering when I read these BBs whether some of you posters would be better off talking to a mirror than a BB.Lead with your actions and keep your mouths shut. | bruno
13/12/2000 20:45 | Outstanding to see these big buys. Share should do very well over coming two weeks now.....just before Christmas too :O) | mungoa
13/12/2000 20:39 | Not wanting to distract anyone or anything......but... Now I hate link up theories....a real way to get fleeced.....I, as ye all know (specially those who, for months now, minted with me on AMY :o), stick to charts....but the links are interesting you must admit. Back to main GHG topic......this is really great news about Crane. Now he's in for almost the same packet as before. Others may be sniffing around as well. No doubt Hemmings and Crane have spoken by now, and Crane still buys yesterday at just a penny or so off our closing price tonight. So that is not to be underestimated. It really is significant in the med-term. Isn't it always sad that it takes such huge vol. to move a price up.....but as soon as someone sells just 7,000 shares (a measly £3000)...the mm's leap at the chance to shake out sellers and move the price down immediately. I/we should be mm's. Today was a classic. On the charts I jotted last night re what might happen this morning....what transpired was what I had classed as an "average scenario". Two days of v.fast climbs had to result in a fall today or tomorrow. I had aimed for a close of 38/40....lucky guess?...probably... You all know this, so sorry for spelling it out. ....but then again, maybe when we see a markdown of 5/6% we get gripped....how far will it fall? Should i sell now? I've lost before etc etc. Well this aint Pan Andean (needs results or forget it) or Billam (a dog supported on hope) or any of the other busy bb shares. This company has: *)strong fundamentals *)new board director, Hemmings, a man who hates failure more than he loves success *)new heavy investors (eg Crane) *)profit warning out of the way (hence the bargain we picked up) etc etc ....there,...I think I've convinced the dog and the cat who are watching. :O) | mungoa
13/12/2000 20:14 | I think I'd better take back what I said about James Everson-Crane being daft. More a case of being unlucky, but seeing an opportunity to get a bit of cash for Xmas?? From my research, he bought around 1.1m in Sept. '99. The price was around 110p. at the time, so bad luck is losing around two thirds of that. The opportunity? Well, he knew J. Hemming was buying in and figured on the price going up, sold out all after it started, waited to see how it would recover and has bought back slightly cheaper. He does not have his original stake, but if it goes to 150p.+ then he will make a decent profit (50%+?) over his original investment anyway. Here's a few ball-park figures. I studied the trades pages for the large buys. The prices are taken from the two days before each announcement. The rules are that a notifiable interest must be publicised within two days. Share issue: 19.384m J. E-C. held 6% = 1,163,040 @ 110p. approx (Sept. '99) Sold 944,365 @ .35p. = £330,527 cash leaves 218,675 = 1.13% 1st buyback 461,326 @ .32.5p. = £149,930 Total held 680,001 = 3.51% 2nd buyback 243,000 @ .36p. = £87,480 Total held 923,001 = 4.75% Cash Remaining = approx. £93,117 profit Buying another 240,000 would bring him back to original stake. 240,000 @ .38.5p = £92,400 = no real profit. So I think he'll be happy with 4.75% and the returns that will bring after seeing his money drizzle away over the last year. He must feel there is now a real possibility of a very good investment. Otherwise he'd have taken the money and put it elsewhere. Regards, Paul. | adipaul
13/12/2000 17:57 | He's bought even more! RNS Number:7763V Gearhouse Group PLC 13 December 2000 GEARHOUSE GROUP PLC Gearhouse Group plc was informed on 13 December 2000 that James Everson-Crane is now interested in 920,001 ordinary shares representing 4.75% of the issued share capital of the company. END HOLDGMMZVFLGGZM | adipaul
13/12/2000 17:16 | "The Mushroom Brigade" is what they call us! | adipaul
13/12/2000 16:59 | Gearhouse Group PLC 13 December 2000 GEARHOUSE GROUP PLC Gearhouse Group plc was informed on 13 December 2000 that James Everson-Crane is now interested in 920,001 ordinary shares representing 4.75% of the issued share capital of the company. Look whose been buying again. I think the people who bailed out today may have missed a greater profit in the coming weeks. IMHO | rhodesc
13/12/2000 16:47 | By my reckoning and unless a late trade shows up, there were approx. 33,000 more shares bought than sold today. I am, of course, assuming that every trade slightly over the bid was a buy. So no valid reason for the drop in price, except for the mm's to scare some much needed stock out of us. IMHO. | adipaul
13/12/2000 16:14 | Dave. That is what Superframe USED to do. The Chairman boght the Co., and left the cash shell, basically. | adipaul
13/12/2000 15:12 | Dave....no available funds at the mo. I'm afraid.....however if someone else would like to buy about another 10,000 shares we can get it up to 38/41 as there is just one mm left at 40p, the other two are now at 41p ....so feel free Dave to take up the slack !! :O) | mungoa
13/12/2000 15:02 | "The principal activity of Superframe Limited is the design and manufacture of retail display equipment". Do they have close connections with GHG, or perhaps this is why people like Hemmings joining so much, as he knows both companies now, which have similar interests mungoa as it is on a dip, are you going to buy? | dave46
13/12/2000 14:59 | For those without level2 we now have two mm's at 41p and just one left at 40p hope this helps | mungoa
13/12/2000 13:54 | See you later, I gotta go out for a couple of hours. Get that price back up while I'm away :-) | adipaul
13/12/2000 13:27 | Now, can we see a pattern here re: the drop back ? | mungoa
13/12/2000 13:06 | People are still buying GHG... 23,500 since the dip in price. Just shows they know a good thing and are taking advantage. Knowing a little about the psychology of fear gives a powerful advantage. | adipaul
13/12/2000 11:34 | Speaking of steady as she goes.....(earlier post)..... Talking to soemone yesterday (not you Paul) about this share we remembered BQE. BQE went all the way from 70p to 155p whilst I was on board ! Now, what was interesting was sellers and the mm reactions. No share goes straight up. Hemmings has said good "buy" up to 60p pre results. So we can and should expect dips along the way. For example there was an expected dip on Friday of 4.6% Had one jumped off (and you would not get out at the top) you might have renetered yesterday onthe climb. With the 10% spread that exists this is still not really a share to trade. BQE went up pretty steady. But what I liked were the quiet days...no gain, or maybe just a penny. But also I expected the days of 1,2, or 3p drops ie 5 or 6%. Someone always HAS to sell....ie losing money elsewhere they have to cover, t trading, or stock bought on margin/credit, or it has hit their target, or a big bill etc. These trades might be big....15,000, 20,000, 30,000 shares....and can start a slide. But if one sells one may miss gains (of course one may not). This sounds like rambling? Anyway, notice a sell of £3000 caused a mm to drop back 1p. Boy are they sensitive. Beware pf panickers. NobodySpecial (a complete idiot on iii who contadicts himself/lies from one post to the next, headlined a post last week "Massive Sell-off" . In reality it was 5 or 6 sells, about 15 to £20k's worth. Talk of pannicking. However this can shake people out. Finally, as an interesting point....not only do we have John Hemming reading these boards, but so too dothe mm's I'm told. So....Hello to all ! mungoa :O) ps: By the way, think where you want to get off this share, and how much of a dip you will stand. In no way is this to be taken as advice. Dont follow this, its just what came up yesterday in conversation. | mungoa
13/12/2000 10:13 | SUP.....had a look at the trade history and graph....750,000 shares moved recently (which was big spike for this equity), last few days no clear signals. Speculative. Any info anybody? Would be nice to pick up SUP just before an agreement announcement, but would be wipeout if wrong | mungoa
13/12/2000 10:01 | Very well spotted ! Any more info? | mungoa
13/12/2000 09:58 | Hey, whaddya know. Superframe, a cash shell which John Hemmings has at least a 4% stake has jumped 3p. to 26p. (13%) this morning ..... on ZERO trades. I can't find any news items. Are the mm's applying a bit of lateral thinking? | adipaul
13/12/2000 09:37 | Can I suppose we will see nice big BUY late trades showing up later?? :0) | mungoa
13/12/2000 08:42 | Level 2 info as requested: WINS (lead mm) now showing 44p to buy other two mm's are still at 43p Steady as she goes....... Regards mungoa | mungoa
13/12/2000 00:34 | Dave...whilst you're here. I notice from the Sunday Times that John Urbanek has been putting more of his eggs in the already crowded PRE basket. How will the lack-lustre performance today affect his holding? I understand if you just direct me to the many many verbose PRE threads. :O) | mungoa |
