Amazing how it goes from Q1 drilling to Q3 overnight.

WHERE WAS THE COMMUNICATION????

Even now it is "subject to rig availability" which to me suggests they have still not landed a rig contract!

With hindsight it is to see why their IR stopped responding to phone calls and emails on the drilling programme.

Dana says its Rinnes exploration program will begin later this year with the semi-submersible Byford Dolphin."

In March 2008 drilling is expected to start on the attractive KES-CC1 prospect in the West El-Burullus concession, offshore Nile Delta. Drilling is planned to start on the large Rinnes prospect in the UK Northern North Sea in April 2008.

The above rns from Dana says April...... would that be after GPC or before, any idea's ?

Ithaca due to finish with the rig somewhere after the 10th April after a delayed start

nobby - Look at the news section. That is pretty much all there is to report at the moment. Drilling schedule expected soon (whatever soon means with a stock like this)

On Monday 10th March 2008, the rig, Byford Dolphin, managed by AGR, spudded a well on Ithaca's 70%-owned Block 14/18b to test a potential southern extension of the Athena oil pool. A deviated well will be drilled to a depth of approximately 9,000 feet TVDSS to test significant potential upside identified following the recent delivery and interpretation of 3D seismic reprocessing. This well will take approximately 30 days to reach the targeted Lower Cretaceous Leek sands which constitute the Athena field. On success, the well will be tested and suspended for future production.

Finally an RNS from Ithaca Energy re: the Byford Dolphin

Only just found the news as I am still without broadband, off for the next few days but will look in from an internet cafe in France

Good luck all !

rayrac,
i hadnt noticed GPC before this week, but i like what i see.
i am convinced SEY are a great potential yet their share price is spiraling downwards and nobody seems to be able to figure out why... and ive sold 90% of my holding there until the tide turns as a progression of stop losses triggered.
so right now im a little doubtful of my ability to pick a winner even in a one horse race, but at least the GPC share price is going the right way and the trend on the chart appears to be upwards ever since the 1st of january this year...still dont know much about the financials of this company and all its projects, but im reading up now.
as for banks..i made my first small investment in the sector since october last year...i chose barc shortly before close on friday cos i think maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel now for them, tho there may well still be some surprises.

It looks far healthier than SEY ceckyspunt, so why the ask? Is it because you like the look but just need convincing?

You should know there is no such thing as a sure thing, even among the banks right now!!

Although I have just purchased Lloyds TSB, predominantly for the yield of 8.1% and even a rising share price over 12mths or less!:)

I top sliced some as well, still holding

Hoping for a dip to add again, don't know if I will be that lucky ;-)
