25/2/2008 18:38 | Byford Dolphin Rig Move Please be advised that the semi-submersible rig "Byford Dolphin" is now planned to undertake a tight tow transit from its current well location in quad 9 part block 3b to Invergordon Shipyard, where it will undergo repairs. The tow to Invergordon will commence on or around the 5th of Feb 2008, depending on weather and sea state conditions. It is anticipated that the rig repairs will be completed and the tow to 14/18b will commence on the 15th of February 2008. The Byford moved around the 1st Feb, initialy thought too 14/18b for Ithaca Energy however it seems it headed to the Invergordon/the Cromarty Firth for repairs There has been no spud RNS as yet from Ithaca but one is expected anytime for the Athena field 14/18b the previous well in this block took around 30 days to drill Adding to this Dana also have a rig slot booked for the Byford, so is anyones guess who gets it next | jimarilo | |
