I think we're seeing the brakes coming off a bit, since Ventor sold-out on 15feb to Arctic Securities, who added them to their pre-existing 5m shares (now holding 6.01%)

for comparison, here's what HYR did when the VTI overhang lifted - more than bagged, and quickly

Anyone know the reason for this afternoons 10%+ inrease. Is it a case of Buy on Rumour - Sell on Fact. If so will we see a retrace if results are published on the 9th?

Less than 12% in free-float and alot of those are probably held by long-term holders much higher up........current price still less than 1p pre-consolidation, still very cheap.......imho

I think news should be out inside a T20

Ithaca Energy are currently having a well drilled with the Byford Dolphin, although no rns has been released, due to it being tight well status imo

Couple of weeks should see the rig move, hopefully to a GPC well

Time will tell ;-)

Agreed Barry, but maybe they are awaiting conformation themselves, particularly with the extended time taken for rig repairs etc

AGR probably like to keep things tight until a well is actually spudded imo

Byford Dolphin – Rig Move

Please be advised that the semi-submersible rig "Byford Dolphin" is now planned to undertake a tight tow transit from its current well location in quad 9 part block 3b to Invergordon Shipyard, where it will undergo repairs.

The tow to Invergordon will commence on or around the 5th of Feb 2008, depending on weather and sea state conditions.

It is anticipated that the rig repairs will be completed and the tow to 14/18b will commence on the 15th of February 2008.

The Byford moved around the 1st Feb, initialy thought too 14/18b for Ithaca Energy however it seems it headed to the Invergordon/the Cromarty Firth for repairs

There has been no spud RNS as yet from Ithaca but one is expected anytime for the Athena field 14/18b the previous well in this block took around 30 days to drill

Adding to this Dana also have a rig slot booked for the Byford, so is anyones guess who gets it next
