10/1/2018 10:38 | $70 is not really enough for new oil fields to be looked for and developed as there are plenty of known reserves already however it is good for Genel as they can turn happily turn a profit at $70 Gas is the way forward though in the O&G world just now couple of detailed FEEDs announced last night for very large ultra sour gas field off Abu Dhabi for a hxxp://gulfnews.com/ Everything can go well for Genel once Baghdad take over until then uncertainty will hold the share back as getting a partner to sink money into a gas project when payment maybe in doubt could be tricky or involve taking a poor deal. I will accumulate on the on the dips. | pogue
10/1/2018 10:11 | Pogue was commenting on my quoting crude spot prices and that someone from BP thought that ; "oil prices will not rise very much in the future" Well, I am happy with $65 to $70. If we only have modest further increases from here, it works for me. BP is a good company to look at. The majority of their business in now GAS. That is where majors are really interested in developing and acquiring assets. This is where GENL is a potential BIG winner; they have at least 11.4 TCF of undeveloped gas assets to monetize. In the meantime we will take oil income of circa £20 million per month. Happy to hold here. Brent $69.31 | cyan
10/1/2018 10:03 | yep, cash generation is insane...and with ascribing 0 value to gas assets! | panagos

10/1/2018 07:22 | Cyan you are always interested in the spot price of oil here is a sobering thought on oil prices. By coincidence last night I was at a lecture by a BP senior man last night and his opening remarks were that BP are planning and investing in what they believe is the fact that oil prices will not rise very much in the future, lower for longer basically. The lecture then went on in detail on their use of metadata from plants and how they were going to reduce costs by using it. This was a big investment and a major policy for the company so they must believe it. I personally think there will be spikes as different countries come on and offline due to the fact oil supplying countries are generally run by inherently unstable governments however its a point to consider that BP reckon there is enough oil out there just now that the oil price wont rise significantly. | pogue

09/1/2018 20:48 | 69$ oil........ Storms in USA taking big volumes off the market and Venezuela production down by 150k per day. Just read this document. Inflation 2600% last year and this year could hit 14,000%. How can society remain with that going on. Very sad. Hawkey hxxps://voiceofpeopl | hawkey2
09/1/2018 20:08 | Yes I mean when they produce at full volume from the multiple zones. As the DNO ceo said - it’s one of the most exciting plays in years. It’ll more than make up for the disappointment of Taq Taq imo. And then there is the cpr and potential gas deal | nicksig
