Brent remains strong at $68.05.

Everyday I research GENL compared to other O&G companies in the LSE (KRG or other jurisdictions globally) I realise how much undervalued this share is.

BAGHDAD - The first official delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) visited Baghdad on Thursday to discuss part of the Kurdish public servants' salaries.The delegation was from the ministries of education and health, meeting Iraq's minister of planning, according to a joint statement.The Erbil delegation presented a revised list of employees of the ministries of education and health for their salaries to be sent from Baghdad.The Iraqi hosts received the list which will be sent for further revision to the country's Financial Monitoring Board.

Good afternoon soho2.
We have had a serious hiccup on the road towards monetization of the gas assets. All was on course, imo, until the referendum upset.

In February 2017 we had the important agreement on the the gas supply terms; $1.20 per thousand cubic feet.
We could then work out from planned volumes to be produced that , in the plateau phase, GENL's revenues would exceed £400 Milion Sterling per Annum.

Around the time of the referendum ROSNEFT promised the next important step; the gas pipeline which would take our gas.

Imo, the numbers are so compelling that , ultimately, the gas assets will be developed. There's a load of politics to be sorted yet, of course.

I am interested in Baghdad's proposed oil pipeline from the Kirkuk fields which they have now settled on routing North. Unless they intend traversing Syria this pipeline route would require crossing undisputed KRG territory.
Baghdad makes a BIG issue about honouring the constitution. It follows that they would be looking to a political agreement with ERBIL allowing their oil to flow over KRG territory. This does give the KRG a small bargaining card; something they are seriously short of.
There are tiny diplomatic steps being taken which making me a little more optimistic.
