26/1/2017 16:53 | am confuse. brent crude is soaring and this is going down. is somebody palnning a cheap takeover at £1 | wantmorethan24p
26/1/2017 16:38 | ihavenoclue cop on, no matter what my opinion is it won`t alter the SP The bonds will need sorting before we get into the final 12 months so basically a little over i year to go. Tony jumping ship and a new CPR to not look forward to, and gas down grade imo being set up for a cheap takeover. WJ. | w1ndjammer
26/1/2017 16:16 | chart looks like it could be rolling over... | mr roper
26/1/2017 16:15 | i do, Fidelity below 5% I found interesting. | mr roper
26/1/2017 15:59 | wj and roper both took a punt and came unstuck , happens all the time , piggies to the market and all that , watch the major holders if you want to see the trend. | jotoha2
26/1/2017 15:32 | W1NDJAMMER26 Jan '17 - 08:22 - 14606 of 14641 0 0 bonds are so high compared to share price because bondholders can smell blood, the bonds might not be secured against the oil but at the end of the day they are secured against the company. WJ. ------------------ W1NDJAMMER26 Jan '17 - 08:52 - 14610 of 14641 0 0 Mr Roper agree they are not secured, but at the end of the day if Genel cannot pay up in two years time, and their is equity in the company the bondholders can force them into receivership. ==================== They can 'smell blood' for something that may happen in 'up to two years time' - even you should be able to see how weak and twisted your arguement is but I guess an agenda is worth sticking to !! | ihavenoclue
26/1/2017 15:04 | WJ-bad news already in price imo. | cumnor
26/1/2017 14:54 | Good point re, the CPR, WJ. I'd overlooked that. Declining production and increasing water cut may well lead to another writedown.. So a triple whammy of news to look forward to at end of march. | mr roper
26/1/2017 14:18 | very quiet here today..all trying to find the bond prospectus? | mr roper
26/1/2017 14:00 | Hello Cumnor still waiting for your reply, or have you sold..... our resident 24p has already sold and moved on. WJ. | w1ndjammer
26/1/2017 10:56 | Cumnor i am interested in your thoughts / reasons, what will happen when the new CPR is issued WJ. | w1ndjammer
26/1/2017 10:50 | cumnor, the company have informed the market that they will book two further impairments in the results, one on receivables, one on the gas assets. You think this will have no impact? | mr roper
26/1/2017 10:47 | Not sure what the $2/hr call center derampers have to gain here now? As I said yesterday (bought in) this will trade high 60s/low 70s for a few weeks and rise with POO to maybe 90s-good profit-or even double on KRG commitment or change of tack re payments. With cash well in excess of Mrkt cap, real assets, producing and bonds a non issue (in other words a real business) no one (except the most naive) will be selling too many shares. I would appreciate if the space wasters would F... O.. for a while and stop wasting good empty space-I only want to click on educated/informative | cumnor
26/1/2017 10:42 | the difference is simple. GKP has now been restructured and equity holder shafted. Genel's has not gone through the process yet...But with the coming impairments there is a possibility they will follow suit | mr roper
26/1/2017 10:34 | GKP over-egging estimates and also handing back too. So whats the difference? | ozzmosiz
26/1/2017 10:33 | the smoke is the impairment coming... | mr roper
26/1/2017 10:32 | From memory, GKP got into trouble when they breached their debt covenants after the impairment from Akri Bijeel. Genel, have already flagged that they will book an impairment in the 2016 on Miran/Bina Bawi that is on the books at 1.4bn. So the question is, how big an impairment would lead to a breach of the debt covenants? If this happens, they will be off to see the Bondholders for a restructuring chat pretty quickly. | mr roper
26/1/2017 10:31 | Now we are entering a period of smoke and mirrors , great fun if you have the means. | jotoha2
26/1/2017 10:25 | pogue re post 14619 this i a bit different, if the bonds were cheap Genel would simply use their $400 mill cash pile to buy them back. the bond holders could be the same people that were buying stock at 1000p they will be looking to get their money back, and it dont look like the share price is going to do it for them. WJ. | w1ndjammer
26/1/2017 10:24 | Buys now out numbering sells perhaps share price has bottomed, shorts to close and bounce due or wishful thinking? | cool hand kev
26/1/2017 10:22 | not sure any decline is imminent, it seems to have been in permanent decline for the last 18mths | mr roper
26/1/2017 10:18 | So many none holders here spouting imminent decline of genl , always a good sign . | jotoha2
26/1/2017 10:16 | sure, Ozz, but Genel's record at exploration is nothing short of terrible. Even when they find it, Ber Bahr, they needed gkp to make it flow, then they handed it back..! | mr roper |
