Potential of Gas assets will become clearer end of month. These assets are massive with a buyer (Turkey) sorted. This is not priced into the share price at all imo. Strong Buy

even if taq taq reserves are downgraded ...i can see them picking up more blocks with dno.


if some of these blocks already have discoveries then would not surprise me if the money owed to genel by the KRG is used to purchase these blocks.

Certainly the brokers seem comfortable. Numis reiterated their buy recommendation today with a target of 180p.

Agreed. Where is POO going? The consensus appears to be anywhere between $50 & $60 in the medium term.

If POO hit $65 GENL would earn almost $200m per year (gross) in EXTRA revenue.

However, imo, the really big upside potential is contained in our enormous gas assets.

Agree with the previous two posters, it's just the payments (anything else would also be reflected in the bond price) but given the rising POO the question you need to ask yourself is, with a higher POO do you think those payments will become more or less likely?

Looking at the volumes and trades it just looks like nervous, jittery PIs bailing.

Roll on January when OPEC actually begin the cuts and we get clarity on Hayward's replacement. Of course another payment toward the end of December would be good as well...

edit: Obviously this weekend might also be interesting if the non-OPEC lot can get their act together. $60 oil by the end of next week would be great.

It's simply not getting paid a month in arrears as promised.

First it was first 10 days of next month.

Then at the end of the following month

Then.....

We just received September's payment and it's bloody December.

There is no hidden issue. It's very much in the open!

The volume is not enormous. I do not see institutions dumping. I do not believe there is some 'hidden' issue undermining our share price

If there was I would have expected it to have been made evident in a weakening of the bond price or reducing institutional interest.

GENL arguably needs better PR . One should take today's share price as an opportunity, for those with patience.

Good morning Wantmore...

I am not hung up on the 2019 date in respect of the unsecured bonds. As has been pointed out earlier; none of the large holders are too worried as the bond price indicates.
If necessary a roll over will be agreed.
As I posted a few days ago, the higher oil price adds about $10 million USD per MONTH (Gross) to Genels earnings.
In the next two years there could be other developments such as a major buying into our gas assets .
Who knows, maybe even a bid on our company.

From a chart perspective it's still in a downtrend and nowhere near being in oversold territory. So any sudden drop in POO and yep 60's is gonna happen IMO

i think Genel also complained.this will definately put of further investment until payments are requalar and monies owed are paid.


we are alright until 14th may 2019...surely money owed will be paid by then.
