07/12/2016 13:18 | Mr Roper you have heard of JOINT VENTURES?? or they could sell a take??? just look at OPHR and their gas assets...i can see a similar deal here. | wantmorethan24p
07/12/2016 13:10 | Where is the bn bucks required to monetise the gas assets? | mr roper
07/12/2016 13:04 | Potential of Gas assets will become clearer end of month. These assets are massive with a buyer (Turkey) sorted. This is not priced into the share price at all imo. Strong Buy | seball
07/12/2016 12:55 | these 20 blocks ... anyone know which ones they are??? Since 2014, international oil companies have renounced a total of 19 exploration blocks in Kurdistan, according to an analysis by the Iraq Oil Report. | wantmorethan24p
07/12/2016 12:54 | even if taq taq reserves are downgraded ...i can see them picking up more blocks with dno. if some of these blocks already have discoveries then would not surprise me if the money owed to genel by the KRG is used to purchase these blocks. | wantmorethan24p
07/12/2016 12:52 | Certainly the brokers seem comfortable. Numis reiterated their buy recommendation today with a target of 180p. Thanks to BTFAITH1 on the LSE bb. | amaretto
07/12/2016 12:40 | "it just looks like nervous, jittery PIs bailing." Agreed. Where is POO going? The consensus appears to be anywhere between $50 & $60 in the medium term. If POO hit $65 GENL would earn almost $200m per year (gross) in EXTRA revenue. However, imo, the really big upside potential is contained in our enormous gas assets. Brent $53.55 . | cyan
07/12/2016 12:30 | Agree with the previous two posters, it's just the payments (anything else would also be reflected in the bond price) but given the rising POO the question you need to ask yourself is, with a higher POO do you think those payments will become more or less likely? Looking at the volumes and trades it just looks like nervous, jittery PIs bailing. Roll on January when OPEC actually begin the cuts and we get clarity on Hayward's replacement. Of course another payment toward the end of December would be good as well... edit: Obviously this weekend might also be interesting if the non-OPEC lot can get their act together. $60 oil by the end of next week would be great. | amaretto
07/12/2016 12:21 | "Hidden issue?" It's simply not getting paid a month in arrears as promised. First it was first 10 days of next month. Then at the end of the following month Then..... We just received September's payment and it's bloody December. There is no hidden issue. It's very much in the open! | fangorn2
07/12/2016 12:15 | The volume is not enormous. I do not see institutions dumping. I do not believe there is some 'hidden' issue undermining our share price If there was I would have expected it to have been made evident in a weakening of the bond price or reducing institutional interest. GENL arguably needs better PR . One should take today's share price as an opportunity, for those with patience. Brent $53.80 | cyan
07/12/2016 11:32 | Lol 24p u wentbshort on Glen and it's just gone up | losses
07/12/2016 11:31 | ENQUEST up 50% since OPEC deal, nuff said.....something not right here | deanroberthunt
07/12/2016 11:19 | Good morning Wantmore... I am not hung up on the 2019 date in respect of the unsecured bonds. As has been pointed out earlier; none of the large holders are too worried as the bond price indicates. If necessary a roll over will be agreed. As I posted a few days ago, the higher oil price adds about $10 million USD per MONTH (Gross) to Genels earnings. In the next two years there could be other developments such as a major buying into our gas assets . Who knows, maybe even a bid on our company. Here's some reading while we wait; "OPEC's Agreement Is a Step Toward Stabilizing Oil Markets" Brent $53.95 | cyan
07/12/2016 11:19 | From a chart perspective it's still in a downtrend and nowhere near being in oversold territory. So any sudden drop in POO and yep 60's is gonna happen IMO | dealer1972
07/12/2016 11:15 | genel now down 1.66% looks like the market definately wants to take this to the 60s. | wantmorethan24p
07/12/2016 11:14 | price check>>>> DNO up 0.13% genel down 1.32% genel bonds unchanged brent crude 53.94 | wantmorethan24p
07/12/2016 11:12 | we need a TWEET from Donald Trump..on Kurdistan Oil... yesterday his tweet on BOEING wiped $1 billion dollars of the market cap of BOEING. or we need a good bullish TWEET to come out of the conference.we still have 5 hours left. | wantmorethan24p
07/12/2016 11:10 | its good to complain publicly.especially at the conference.well done DNO. i think Genel also complained.this will definately put of further investment until payments are requalar and monies owed are paid. we are alright until 14th may 2019...surely money owed will be paid by then. | wantmorethan24p
07/12/2016 11:04 | just gone SHORT on glencore. | wantmorethan24p |
