I had to laugh.
Could not disagree more.
Must confess now to having bought a few more GENL yesterday. I would not touch GKP with a bargepole.

I suppose they are expecting an offer at least twice the one being mulled to justifying buying further.

At least its all helped us here.
Maybe a predator will recognise real value . Potential to move our share price rather sharply.

You mean a proposed transaction that would value the shares at virtually nothing? There is no bid as of yet!!
And this is being used on this BB to show the value of Genl by 'lurkers' picking up assets on the cheap at the expense of shareholders? Great!

This is going to fuel Genel a lot more - yesterday's fall was mostly about negative market sentiment. The bid for GKP means there are lurkers and potential predators out there ready to take Kurdistan risk. More and regular payments from the KRG will continue to instill confidence going forward...expect this to keep rising slowly now.

Feel the Heat! :-) At least in US anyway. Henry Hub gas price jumped ~8% yesterday.

The monthly oil challenge is on.....deadline for entry is midnight this Sunday.

Hi Golf. They have plenty of time regarding the bonds; 3 years. No panic required. The coupon at 7.5% is rather better than GKP and it 13%.
They could buy some more of those bonds at a discount as done already.

GENL cash position illusionary as debt now very substantial relative to equity. They need to toll this over quire quickly or else risk being another GKP
