28/7/2016 15:01 | Who’s breaking ranks first then guys Market Cap 50M less than cash $407M cash the net debt is $237M against $2,572.6M net assets and $412 million owed by the KRG! There really is no reason to be shorting here! | grsl
28/7/2016 14:52 | 1m+ more buys than sells ( at least that is what is showing ), I wonder if there are sells off the books? | ozzmosiz
28/7/2016 14:50 | In saying the above these things can be pretty leaky so there could be a sudden jump in share price before any $412M payment RNS which would then propel the share price, you really wouldn't want to be holding a short in that situation. | grsl
28/7/2016 14:42 | Absolutely.... I don't see anything to encourage the shorters here at this level given the information that's out there, when the first one heads for the exit the others had best follow pretty swiftly as there will be one significant bounce if that $412M owed suddenly gets paid! | grsl
28/7/2016 14:21 | A thought.....but a pretty good thought, IF Imf have promised money to Krg, Krg have promised money to Ioc's and that is probably why Genel have offered to invest money in upgrades! Think I'm on to something!!!!!! | nodoe
28/7/2016 14:17 | Certainly heading to 80p in the next couple of sessions. Let's see if 80p can hold it. | chickengeorge
28/7/2016 13:53 | Alem I disagree, KRG will get a share, there seems to be an underlying mission by the IMF & USA to force Kurdistan and Iraq to resolve their conflicts - see link below ”The statement that makes no mention of the Kurdish forces’ party in the ongoing war against ISIS in Iraq adds however, that the Kurdistan Region must benefit from any financial support given to Iraq. “We also commit to provide, and expedite as appropriate, support for Iraq’s efforts to address its fiscal challenge and strengthen its economy through reforms, in coordination with the IMF and other international financial institutions,” reads the statement. “It is critical that all Iraqis, including the Iraqi Kurdistan region, benefit from this support. In this context, the G7 is mobilizing more than 3.6 billion USD in bilateral assistance and other financial support to complement support from the international financial institutions.” | grsl
28/7/2016 13:46 | trying to sound reassuring won't help the share price. It is very much uncertain (doubtful) Iraq will share the loan proceed with the KRG... we will see - I'm long Genel anyway even if this stock has never been kind to me. | alem54
28/7/2016 13:43 | Yes Wantmore when that payment is made there will be a very strong re-rate and I can see it being sooner rather than later. I highlighted earlier from todays presentation “Short-term economic measures improving KRG economic situation In April 2016 the KRG reported a reduction in its monthly budget shortfall from $400 million to $100 million United States support in paying Peshmerga salaries set to help further reduction in shortfall” | grsl
28/7/2016 13:37 | Alem agree also the data that influences the oil price is only US data API & EIA however the capex cuts across the industry will be having an impact but I don't think this is being reflected yet, when it does I expect the oil price to rally strongly and quickly and take a lot of people by surprise. | grsl
28/7/2016 13:36 | $412m dollors to be received when the imf load is given to the kurds. | wantmorethan24p
28/7/2016 13:36 | You can also follow Brent on Bloomberg; An oil story to read; | cyan
28/7/2016 13:28 | Alem on Monday 25th Brent was over $46, and will be back at that level soon enough, on 1st July when the share price here was 140 brent was $49 it gets marched up and down again | grsl
28/7/2016 13:25 | For Brent I follow here; $43.46; is ticking up | cyan
28/7/2016 13:18 | expect a massive re rating when they get their receivables. | wantmorethan24p
28/7/2016 13:17 | rising consistently lol - let's not overblow it - for a change it has stayed level this company used to be valued at 1000p in mid 2013 now just 95p - the shareholder equity destruction is appalling | alem54
28/7/2016 13:13 | Cyan brent has been rising consistently since 12.30pm now $44.12 | grsl
28/7/2016 13:02 | $43.40 on my screen | cyan
28/7/2016 12:57 | Brent $44 now onwards and upwards....strong buy | grsl
28/7/2016 12:46 | From the presentation on their website today “Short-term economic measures improving KRG economic situation In April 2016 the KRG reported a reduction in its monthly budget shortfall from $400 million to $100 million United States support in paying Peshmerga salaries set to help further reduction in shortfall” With one of the stipulations of the IMF loan being outstanding debts to IOC’s to be paid off, we can expect that $412M owed to be paid pretty soon........ what effect would that have on the share price?!?! I see more positives than negatives in todays announcements and anyone buying in today are certainly getting a bargain and could be 40% up in a few weeks easily. | grsl
28/7/2016 12:36 | Is it about to bid for GKP? | trader11
28/7/2016 12:25 | Hi Cyan, I'm with you, this will prosper in the future, the debt can be rolled over, i'm sure, and is not due until mid 2019 anyway. If the doomsters were right, why has Bp not gone to the wall, as I think their debt is £20 billion......billion | nodoe
28/7/2016 12:18 | Way over done again me thinks! | dalailama |
