Can someone explain why GENL are spending capital in Kurdistan? Its money they may not get back. If the KRG are having such problems paying up what they owe GENL why don't GENL say we are stopping all capital expenditure until you get your act together. That might focus some minds down Erbil way!

BullUnfortunately I still hold 35k shares and I've reduced from 150k. I won't be selling any more until we have clear direction.

The problem here is the obvious corruption of the KRG. I would advise taking a look at how the KRG have systematically, deliberately and maliciously brought the GKP shareholders to their knees. What makes anybody think they will not (and are not already in the process of) doing that to Genel?

I'm not short. I've never shorted shares. Look at their track record. The saving grace is the cash. If you really want to treble your money in 6 months, I'll suggest that you take a dip in DJI. I've spoken to their CEO and they reckon online lottery sales in China will restart by year end, NASDAQ listing will be complete by end of September and their peers are valued at 4 times DJI with much much narrower business niches. I guess it would depend on why it touched 80p though?

If solely down to weak oil price, then yes, I would be a buyer.

However, if the Gas project gets parked, or Taq Taq suffers a further serious downgrade, or the KRG stop paying, again, then I would not be a buyer.

Our share price closely mirrors POO as usual. Brent now $44.52

Its worth restating that GENL's breakeven is at $20 oil.

Brent weak again which explains our share price imo. Now at $44.34

Somrthing starting to smell very bad here, with the share price plunging ahead of interims. Taq Taq again? Hope not, but 140p >>> 99p (a loss of 29%) on a 10% fall in the oil price looks unwarranted.
