Imo, any placing in the works must be between 60-70p based on price action. Joint broker on board so they're going for a big quantum.

I think they will raise capital short term although this won't be too bad if they can produce some good news on test situation before it's announced. Going to be a bit of a ride.

and even if a placing was made, they should given potential be able to negotiate (hopefully) a narrow discount to the current prevailing share price IMO.....let's see

Exactly, they had £3.5m cash at year end, so not running on fumes. Entirely possible that they could be using Finncap to attract larger investors in light of GDR receiving non dilutive funding from a third party?

Genedrive this morning - Appointment of Joint Broker

My guess is that that may precede a placing here to raise capital. Watch out.

It's great news, yes, I'm invested in both stocks.

And both stocks have a collaboration with Cytiva, a multi £ Billion set up.

Follow the big money. :o)

My point being is that SpreadEx will never be out of the way, whilst there is a lot of hot money here. They will just give in again if they write lots of long CFDs

I'm not sure what all the excitement is about SpreadEx. A punter, or group of punters would have gone long on GDR via a CFD (so leveraged up). SpreadEx hedge that large exposure by buying the stock, hence a large position. Punters then cash out their CFDs, and SpreadEx sell the stock they held. The big issue is why people are closing their long positions, but I guess some people need to turn a profit at any opportunity in this environment
