Cassini-ii have added more options this week..well after I submitted my initial instruction |
Muddy the waters in what way? Cancellation means more of the proceeds above par by way of a special dividend, tender by way of capital gain. If the cancellation is approved the tender doesn't happen. |
This might muddy the waters further, but has anyone studied these?
Under "FAQs - GA Tender Offer Memorandum", paragraph 30.
"If a preference shareholder validly tenders their GA Preference Shares by the relevant expiration deadline (as specified in the Tender Offer Memorandum) and those GA Preference Shares are purchased pursuant to the Tender Offer, such preference shareholder will receive the Tender Offer Price for each GA Preference Share so purchased (being an amount equal to: (i) £1.35 for each 7.875% Preference Share so purchased; and (ii) £1.52 for each 8.875% Preference Share so purchased), plus the applicable Accrued Dividend Amount.
The Tender Offer Price in respect of a given GA Preference Share has been calculated such that it will be the same as the Cancellation Price for that GA Preference Share. |
There's two options with HL - stay with them, or move to a different broker ;) |
ii only gave me two options, Tender or Do Nothing :0) |
The instructions given by HL wrt the 2p voting fee are different from those given by AJB. My reading is that AJB is correct. HL's interpretation simply doesn't make sense. |
I have got to say this is the most confusing offer I have ever been involved with. |
Yes, I was going to tell them but .... |
New divi ex div,
Record Date 06/12/24 05/06/25 Ex-Div 05/12/24 04/06/25 Paid 02/01/25 t.b.c. Amnt 4.44 51.12 |
Hoo flipping ray
Unbelievably slow - but I guess within the deadlines |
HL have finally put the corporate action in place to tender and/or vote. |
There have been a few anonalous looking prices in the Aviva /Gen Acc prefs since the tender was announced IMHO. EG, yesterday I bought AV.B in size at just under 140p, which seems like a bit of a gift to me-or I've done my sums wrong ;-) |
Grabbed a few more at the open at 152 this morning Seem to now be pricing where you'd expect them |
Just seen this latest resit, it seems a right good cluster eff with them, I think , though not sure the original choice is ok , but still does not tally with the original tender offer! |
ii seem to have added the 4 options now, rather than just Tender / Do Nothing. |
I too have registered my discontent with them (HL)
Used to be good as one poster noted - not anymore!!!! |
P*ss ups and brewery's spring to mind. |
Morning Skinny
Sorry to hear that, it's very disappointing for holders there |
In a word - no! |
Have HL posted the corporate action yet? I DON'T use them myself-but I think I'd be getting a bit fed up with them if they were to give just a week or so to complete important corporate actions like this. All the brokers I'm using for this tender are quoting a deadline of 3/4/25 and it's hard to imagine HL will be any better.
What happens if you are away for a week(or more) on holiday, which is perfectly possible
I think clients have a right to be getting a little antsy if they still haven't sorted it out yet! |
IG even worse for RSP quotes.
My main beef with ii is how short a time they let you stay logged in for.
There's a gap in the market for a decent execution-only broker - once it was HL. |
I have found that also ,however in both cases access to fixed interest products via trades online are very limited . |
I have had a SIPP with AJ Bell for probably 25 years. They have always been good. I have my ISAs with ii and I also have a dealing account with HL.
The one bad thing I have noticed about AJ Bell is that they don't always seem to be able to operate at the same trade size as others. I can try an order on AJ Bell which they say cannot be filled but the identical order on ii will be quoted. |
