27/5/2021 17:05 | Chinese are gamblers but they will be losing…. redeyemines Posts: 697 Price: 7.65 No Opinion Demand or gamblingToday 14:30 There was concerted action, by the Chinese authorities, to try and stop the speculation and ramping in the Iron Ore mkt the other day. - -They felt prices had been artificially driven up to unrealistic levels. - -With Coal now up over 115% since Sept, i wonder if the same is happening here. | ![]() longjohnsilver1
27/5/2021 13:38 | LongJogonSkirtLifter - 'hey now your boyfriends back, what you doin' comin' round here, talkin' up to people like that.....ha ha ha Nasrul skirt wearing Hamid - I would give zero credibility to any of his witterings, he has about as much idea about power generation as LJSHP - zilch. Where is the deep sea port - oh, five years away.....where is Rampal - oh, five years away, where is Rooppur - oh, five years away.....all said in a David Brent-like voice. GCM is gonna BEHUGE | malcolmyoung
27/5/2021 12:17 | What ??? They won’t use Phulbari coal mine?? Hahahahahahaha However, Nurul Alam said: “We will use standard quality coal [of 5700 caloric value] likely to be imported from Australia or Indonesia. On the other hand, modern technology has been adopted in this plant to ensure high efficiency and less coal consumption.” | ![]() longjohnsilver1

27/5/2021 07:15 | Commodity prices are surging across the world as a surge in demand meets reduced inventories and pared exploratory budgets. The Govt of Bangladesh continue to sit on their own supply of high quality coal which could be transformative for the country’s energy supply. | ![]() legionnaire2

25/5/2021 18:28 | Bungla can't afford to go green they have no money and nobody is going to finance it for them as there is no profits to be made. The green token money offered of $millions to Bungla is a drop in the ocean to what they need. However there is plenty of money to be made of coal- their coal reserves alone are worth $billions - include in that jobs, taxes and electricity generation fees and its a $100billion boost to their economy. Not to mention the money they save on expensive imports, $s leaving Bungla never to be seen again. Or the environmental damage of shipping and coal ships sinking. Bungla has no money and is in an economic crisis. GCM and Powerchina's project credentials get stronger everyday. Roll on submittal, dangle the carrot and let them decide once and for all if they can refuse to use their own reserves. | mickmack

25/5/2021 15:29 | I mean it would be dramatic news if someone has finally found a way of producing renewable energy below the cost of fossil fuels. That is the holy grail that the best engineers in Europe and the US haven't achieved yet. | ![]() luckyswimmer3
25/5/2021 15:11 | What Bangladesh needs is as much investment as it can raise for solar panels and wind turbines but it will be lucky to reach in 5 years the 20% level that the UK has reached after massive investment. That leaves 80% of energy needs in the form of natural gas, coal or nuclear. Nuclear takes even longer than coal power stations to organise so is not in any fyp. That leaves the need for natural gas power stations and new efficient coal power stations at the mouth of a local coal mine that minimises pollution and reduces the carbon footprint associated with imported coal. | ![]() luckyswimmer3
25/5/2021 14:40 | This is true. Do you mean it’s dramatic? I think it is for them | ![]() longjohnsilver1
25/5/2021 14:15 | I have to admit they don't seem a very well organised country. They are claiming that solar and wind power are cheaper - that would be dramatic news if true. One of the biggest obstacles to renewable energy is how expensive it is compared to fossil fuels.Wealthy european countries can afford to switch to green energy while their electorate prefer minimising CO2 emissions to having an efficient economy but I don't think Bangladesh has that luxury. Never mind the unreliable nature of renewable energy as evidenced by the recent death in Texas of a boy when the renewable sourced electricity ran out in the middle of a snow storm. Strangely unresearched article. | ![]() luckyswimmer3

22/5/2021 10:58 | Its a pivotal year no doubt about that Brother Mal If Gcm succeed we all win and the troll loses If Gcm fail we all lose our investment butthe troll has nothing to do anymore and his life is essentially over. Kinda like a win win if im honest | therealsatan666
22/5/2021 10:54 | brother Satan - the good news is that we are going to have a ground breaking announcement soon. It could of course be negative and PowerChina close the door and leave. If this happens its all over and our investment is lost. The idiot troll will be squawking about, but it won't matter as we will all be gone. I feel encouraged that China is not involved with the G7, has openly said we are NOT in a hurry to close down our coal generators and Japan has now done the same. Hasina will not get away with a giant coal mine and 6000MW generating capacity in two years time - a decision has to be imminent. | malcolmyoung
22/5/2021 07:44 | Another week comes to an end and who has posted most on this board? Who has paid this share the most attention? The very same person who claimed ad nauseum that "nobody" was interested. Too stupid to even see the irony. Pathetic nerd troll! | therealsatan666
21/5/2021 18:56 | Everybody is leaving the boat Where will they get the money from? The clown team….? The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will end all financing for coal mining and power plants and ban support for oil and gas production, under a draft energy policy released on Friday. | ![]() longjohnsilver1
21/5/2021 18:54 | EVEN BETTER - China are not even members of the G7 - they can say you lot can go 'up' yourselves, we'll do what we want - time to wheel in our kebab & chips contributor with his usual ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha - then off to your pitch Kebabman | malcolmyoung
