The drop is my fault. After monitoring gaw for months and seeing the share price steadily climbing I decided to buy in the day before x divi. It has dropped every day since.
Apologies to investers. Its really not a coincidence it happens every single time I buy shares. This is the 28th share in a row I've bought that drops the very second I buy.
Once again apologies to investers

Nice thorough research by the interviewer: ‘do you think there will ever be a Warhammer video game?’…. In fairness, there have only been about 300 released over a 30 year period, including mega AAA smash hits.

Ian Livingstone was on BBC Radio 5's "Wake Up to Money" this morning (just before 6am) talking about Games Workshop, Warhammer and gaming in general. He was quite bullish about the future.

Link below, interview starts at 48 minutes 35 seconds

GW webstore is notifying customers of delivery delays as they transfer between warehouses (doesn't appear to apply to US based customers).

The company accountants file to Company House and Inland Revenue. So, point the finger at KPMG. The Company Secretary should double check that these things are done on time.

A technical breach due to a delayed filing of the Interim Accounts to Companies House. "When the Company paid the Interim Dividend, the Company had sufficient distributable profits to do so and had prepared interim accounts showing the same, however those interim accounts were not filed at Companies House prior to the payment of the dividend. As a result, the Interim Dividend was paid in technical contravention of the Companies Act 2006. "

All GAW shareholders received the dividend.

They've got form in this regard, a similar technical breach occurred in FY17. It appears more complex for GAW than the average business as they pay 4 or 5 dividends a year.

Better than expected results especially given the economic environment - the kids still get their presents! A good solid investment despite it's very lofty PE :-)

Seems very volatile this week but volume is low, is this just people adjusting their holdings in preparations for the Tue results?

I won't be material - total non video/mobile licensing revenue was only 10% (£2.7m) last year.

I'm not very familiar with the JoyToy models. My understanding is they are 3.75 inches high. Made in Beijing under a license from GW. I wonder what we earn from the licensing.

The JoyToy 1/18 scale W40K figures are becoming increasingly popular amongst action figure collectors. I've read the Ultramarines are the most popular in China, which tallies with the large range of UM characters JoyToy has released.

As a collector, they're pretty addictive. I'm seeing new releases almost weekly at the moment. And it's great that whenever JoyToy reuse a mold (or reduce the amount of paint applications), they pass the savings on to the customer. Which results in a great range of very affordable figures.

Should be a nice little 'non-digital' earner for GW going forward.

Positive review of the new 'Realms of Ruin' computer game in NME (hxxps://www.nme.com/features/gaming-features/warhammer-age-of-sigmar-realms-of-ruin-preview-big-thinkin-3462439). Good evidence that the IP continues to penetrate into the 'mainstream'. Especially good news as this game is tied to the newer and lesser known Age of Sigmar universe, not 40k. Hopefully another commercial and critical success!

Here you go:

Analyst Charles Hall retained his 'buy' recommendation in Games Workshop...it has a "considerable competitive moat" and "considerable breadth and depth of intellectual property', which is of considerable interest to third parties. The IP and growth in the hobby make this compelling, potentially for partners such as Amazon".

(seems to like the adjective 'considerable'!)

He also noted that full-year 2024 trading and royalty revenues were ahead of expectations.

"The shares have performed well and are now trading on 26 times May 2024 price/earnings.
Clearly, this is no longer cheap in the context of the UK market and the projected earnings growth. However, the potential upside to numbers and the long-term prospects for the hobby and royalties mean we continue to see material upside."

Incidentally Charles Hall has been covering Games Workshop since at least 2010.

We seem to be going full circle despite no real change. GAW was strong throughout the dip (down to 60 odd). Markets very irrational to put is mildly

My understanding was a story regards the potential deal in the Hollywood Reporter on 15th December 2022 forced GAW to RNS the following morning. The outline deal including material terms has been agreed but contracts have yet to be signed.

I'd expect an RNS if and when the contract is signed.

GAW trading updates have been far more predictable of late (usually quarterly). I'd expect the next one to be in early Sept for Q124. There's usually nothing on current trading in the Finals or AR.

Worth remembering GAW never announced the possibility of a deal. rather Amazon announced something suggesting a deal was in place and GAW subsequently confirmed NO deal as yet but discussions ongoing.
