09/4/2020 13:52 | Whilst GAW is not currently selling or manufacturing many of their trade customers online are open for business but are now running very short of stock therefore once the lockdown ends trade restocking will be required. | cockerhoop
09/4/2020 13:05 | Ah but wait until things reopen. All that pent up demand! Well here's hoping. Suet | suetballs
09/4/2020 12:27 | That said - is anyone else a little nervous that the warehouse and all sales have been stopped for a few weeks already, and no further update? I think GAW have gone a lot further than other manufacturing / distribution businesses - and the share price recovery since then might be a little un-warranted. | smilerrr
09/4/2020 12:26 | Christh, what sort of comment is that? Am I missing something? | smilerrr

03/4/2020 12:25 | Health Secretary has just announced that upto now thy still do not have any test that works (in trials re antibody tests)- so other countries may or may not have mopped up and bought million upon million test kits but if they don't actually give reliable results then they are actually dangerous - As for Germany they have Roche and so UK is not somehow lagging in all this - just that we have not historically had any large pharma testing industry in this country - as for vaccines - maybe maybe not a long time before there is one but in meantime hopefully some of these other drugs being spoke about may be effective in at least slowing the severity on a person with cv enough to let the person successfully fight back against it etc - we live in hope | sponges
02/4/2020 08:47 | I'm out of the market until it bottoms. Hopefully GAW will be one of the companies that survives in good health and goes onto better days. | daijavu
02/4/2020 08:41 | I understand that we will be lucky to see the end of the problem until some time next year or even 2022. A vaccination is unlikely to be developed until early next year at best and it will then take some time before it is produced in sufficient quantities to give to everyone. There are only a few countries with the capability to mass produce vaccines and the UK is not one of them. It is possible that the countries that produce the vaccine will look after their own people before supplying the rest of the world. The UK will have to stand in line with our begging bowl and wait while the producing countries and ones with more foresight get first dibs. it's the same thing with equipment to test for CV. Most other countries ordered and bought up all the stocks while the UK Government were insisting that we didn't need to test. Now we are having to beg for the few that the producers can spare us after they have fulfilled all the orders from other countries with better foresight. We are going to suffer like Italy, Spain, the USA and third world countries. | daijavu
01/4/2020 11:22 | I think Andrew Vaughn will a be a little perturbed by the current share price ( bought at £11 watched it go to £70 and now £41 ) but as he says CV is short term (we hope) and in the long term gaw will be ok. I bought my kids this stuff years ago and will buy. The 64k question is when. Suet | suetballs
01/4/2020 10:43 | Macc2, the update means Norges crossed the 3% threshold. A purchase of 0.18% - 59,000 would have been enough to go through 3%I don't recall Norges being on the major shareholder register before. They may just be trading rather than a long term investor. | nod
01/4/2020 10:15 | Andrew Vaughan who runs the Sanford DeLand Free Spirit fund, the sister to the Buffettology fund, speaks about Games Workshop for 15 minutes on this Citywire podcast: | robinnicolson
30/3/2020 11:00 | I see from a RNS that Norge Bank purchased 1,034,187 shares last week - 3.17% of the total number of shares. It seems they have confidence at these prices - but probably looking to the long term. | macc2
30/3/2020 01:21 | I also had some GAW share but sold just as the markets started dropping. I fully expect it to take another 18 months before a vaccination is ready for production and some time after that before the vaccination is mass produced. The markets could have bottomed before then and might even have started moving north before the vaccination is ready. Whatever happens I'm holding onto my cash for now. | daijavu
27/3/2020 17:14 | Ok different views - that's fine. Suet | suetballs
27/3/2020 17:02 | Oh, and by the way, I really like GAW and did have shares until recently. I hope to buy again at some point. I just read it very differently right now. | stewhg76
27/3/2020 16:57 | Oh, so it's only low based on your opinion and how you see this unprecedented global event panning out. It's certainly not low when you chart the current events against historic global recessions. If you compare the market now to 2008 it's tracking very similar and you'll see the price is really high, certainly not low. Long way down from here and I see no reason why this event is not comparable to 2008. In fact most experts are forecasting it will be much worse! | stewhg76 |
