The Big Picture: Progress stepping up at Galileo Resources
By Giles Gwinnett

Progress has stepped up a gear at Galileo Resources (LON:GLR) recently with several new potential growth drivers for 2014.
News today concerned metallurgy studies at its Glenover rare earth project in South Africa, while last month Galileo revealed a move into gold and copper with a C$4.3mln acquisition in the US.

Lest we forget? ;¬)

I'm guessing it's because the news is little, and the economic back-drop and South-African Political environments (particularly with striking miners being shot) might have left people feeling wary...

BUT not much in the way of good news either...

Had I a bit more cash spare, I think the bottom is near, and as the commodity cycle starts up again, then the price will follow.

Is this thread still live?

Amazed at the lack of conversation given the massive drops in the share price over the last few months

Does anyone have a suggestion why this stock has almost halved in value within six months?

So glr have exceeded the 30 day eval time by almost a week so some form of update should come tomorrow or Wednesday surely... Noticed the share price took a little dip today, strange considering there were more buys than sells, any ideas?

Focus being GLR having 30 days to conduct due diligence - I would have expected some news by now. I'd like to see this share price improve, it's been pretty static for way to long, consistent but static.

RNS dated 25th July - Galileo Signs a Heads of Agreement with Rare Earth International to Earn-in to Rare Earth Opportunities in Zambia and Mozambique.

The AIM-quoted African Consolidated Resources plc ("ACR") is the 100% holder
through its Zambian subsidiary of the prospecting licence to the rare earth
project in Zambia.

Under the terms of this HoA, the Company has been granted '''30 days''' to conduct
title due diligence on the Projects; this being the only condition on which
this HoA may be terminated. Should the Company receive sufficient results to
this due diligence the HoA will be unconditional and the Farm-In will come into
force.

Highlights:

* Galileo enters into an agreement with REI to earn-in to three rare earth
projects located in Zambia, Mozambique and Spain.

* Two boreholes historically drilled on Zambia's "Nkombwa" project (Nkombwa)
intersected 4 to 6 metres thick intervals, with elevated REEs, which on
re-assaying by REI (2010) revealed 5% and 8% total rare earth oxides
(TREO).

* Drill targets identified on Nkombwa following extensive surface sampling
during 2011: the highest priority being a 25 to 50 metre wide zonewhere
samples consistently reported more than 3% TREO,including a high proportion
assaying 5% to 10% TREO over a sampling strike length of 350 metres.

* Further samples scattered along a broad zone south east of the main rare
earth mineralisiation assayed greater than 5% TREOincluding one outcrop
sample assaying 23.6% TREO.

* "Xiluvo" project in Mozambique has a gross amount of 1.1 million tonnesJORC
compliant indicated resource (mainly soils) assaying 2.05% TREO(@ cut off
1% TREO) and 4.4% phosphate (P2O5).

* "Galineiro" project in Spain is a potential greenfield exploration target
with heavy rare earth element ("HREE") potential.

I think Ol' CB is being strategic. If you begin to build a business based on a particular commodity or group of commodities, you need a pipeline of properties with the minerals perhaps to justify the immense investment in building a processing and production facility(ies).

CB seems to be making sure that the company has a longer term future, before committing to building a processing/refining facility, and either importing the necessary skills or training locally.

I'm guessing having a processing facility and the key skills to separate them out makes much more commercial sense if you have a piece of several large pies.

(Eggs, baskets, Never put) rearrange these words into a well-known phrase or saying.

The share price is telling the only story I need to listen to.
