Posted at 13/11/2024 17:29 by the bull I managed to add a reasonable size last week. The good thing about GLR, its not too volatile is it. The next volatility could/should be in a good way. I would rather wait though and get the best deal, as long as we don't drain the cash too much which then creates an over the barrel situation. Over to you Mr B |
Posted at 27/10/2024 08:36 by duckham The GLR market cap has a large multiple coming. In markets' ebb and flow, be wise from the start, While fools rush in, the sage sets himself apart. When all minds think alike, question what you see, For in uniformity, errors often be. Seek the scorned, the unloved, with safety's wide berth, In turnaround tales, uncover hidden worth. When crowds flee in fear, leaving shelves bare, The astute investor will find treasures there. If the herd turns left, dare to look right, In downturns and sales, future gains burn bright. Remember, in good times, profits are shown, But in past bad markets, true fortunes are grown. Like a lion, unmoved by bleating sheep, Chart your own course, your convictions keep. For in the contrarian's bold, divergent way, Lies the path to riches, come what may. Buy it from them when they’re puking and sell it back to them when they’re quacking. |
Posted at 24/10/2024 11:06 by the bull Maybe change your name skip to shake off your stalker or report him. When GLR starts motoring though, hundreds of saddos will appear no doubt |
Posted at 21/10/2024 14:26 by gowski Good point actually. GLR might take it on board ... |
Posted at 03/10/2024 13:23 by duckham It will catch people out. Then the scramble to get shares will come as it re-rates massively. Several assets can re-rate GLR for a large multiple, the only question is which one first because it will come soon enough. |
Posted at 02/10/2024 10:49 by duckham As an example, CB is connected to FQ, SFR and so on. SFR has a significant shareholding in GLR. FQ bought CBs Kansanshi asset. There may be other better strategic opportunities with other companies, and the duty of the company is to act in shareholders interests. In addition the 3rd option - the deeps - requires exploration which is not in JLPs wheelhouse. CB also owns a large % of GLR along with options etc. and is incentivised to get the best deal. |
Posted at 02/10/2024 10:26 by fireplace22 Yes but you have CB connection. Maybe whats best for GLR isn't best for the CB/JLP relationship. |
Posted at 02/10/2024 09:54 by duckham I think GLR will get a much better deal without the involvement of JLP. JLP would need to up its game to get a bite at the Luansobe asset. The multiple options on offer are not all suited to JLP in any case. The Luansobe asset has significant $$ in the ground, and a large chunk of it can be produced by GLR themselves with third party contractors bidding to do the work for a fee, at a much higher profit to GLR. |
Posted at 21/8/2024 09:21 by the skipper Looks like some are jumping ship from JLP to GLR today. Far more upside here in the short term imo, then back to JLP next year when it should start to come good again. |
Posted at 26/7/2024 08:22 by the skipper Thanks GB. Good to hear Charles Archer talking so positively about little old GLR.I’ve added another small tranche this morning but that’s me done now unless one of my other stocks pops. |
