This is looking ridiculously oversold now with the RSI standing at 31.28 and loads of news to come. Can't see how it can get much cheaper, so I'm adding small daily tranches.

Thanks, sounds like a great time to be buying the exploration stocks during a summer sell off.

I wouldnt read too much into how much he bets on his own horses. Here is a great post from BZT share chat which sums up a lot of it. "Both BZT and GLR have performed spectacularly badly, certainly in the years I've been following them, their mode of operation, skipping from one prospect to another and seemingly incapable of monetising anything and continuing to exist only by repeated placings seems to indicate a management that is there to maintain a lifestyle rather than to build anything of value for shareholders. That maybe down purely to age and lifestyle options but certainly to incompetence and greed" I mean, have a look back a couple of years back at any of the CB companies and its the same things being said.

Copperz, I didn't continue reading after seeing that you are yet to grasp the fundamental basics of percentage. I wish you well.

Let's hope he wants to earn a lot more here with GLR his biggest holding. His deal buying the licenses in Botswana was timely and the Sandfire deal was hopefully a masterstroke. Hopefully even long termers her will at the very least get their money back whilst some of the newer holders like myself, hope to make a killing

No, it is NOT normal to be CEO of several AIM miners and be on the board of 20 others. None of my other AIM miners have CEO's who have has many fingers in as many pies. In fact- i am invested in 5 other AIM miners, and CB holds more directorships than all the other 5 put together. He used our money in Bezant to buy Metalrock (which he is director of) from Tiger (which he is director of). I dont see things like this elsewhere, not even in the Wild West of AIM mining. ...and he is 77 ...and has a poor track record as far as share price goes ...and has a poor record in advancing projects But hey, nice to live out the rest of your years in tax exile luxury in UAE with all that money raised on the markets.

A lot of the companies are subsidiaries of the others. Common practice in this sector to put the licences into subsidiaries so that accounts and liabilities are ring fenced.

being pedantic, but get the point, don't forget BMR delisted. Time he became CEO of BZT- share price 0.5….now 0.25 ( down 50%) Time he became CEO of XTR- share price 10...now 4.0 (down 60%) Time he became CEO of Galileo 7.38...now 1.48 (down 80%)

Colin Bird: Age- 77 Residence- UAE (tax haven) Current record on AIM: Time he became CEO of BZT- share price 0.5….now 0.25 ( down 100%) Time he became CEO of XTR- share price 10...now 4.0 (down 125%) Time he became CEO of Galileo 7.38...now 1.48 (down 400%) Salary from these 3 companies alone circa £130k (based on last business year records) Public assets (from listed companies): $3,123,528 USD Galileo by far his biggest holding at $1.5 million, XTR around $750k and BZT $380k (for full listing see marketscreener) List of companies of which he is either a Chairman or Director of: African Pioneer Plc, Bird Leisure and Admin (Pty) Ltd, Braemore Resources Ltd, Dullstroom Plats (Pty) Ltd, Ferrum Crescent Limited, Galagen (Pty) Ltd, Galileo Resources Plc, Galileo Resources South Africa (Pty) Ltd, 6 Bezant Resources Plc Board of directors (continued) Glenover Phosphate (Pty) Ltd, Holyrood Platinum (Pty) Ltd, Jubilee Metals Group Plc, Jubilee Tailings Treatment Company (Pty) Ltd, Lion Mining Finance Ltd, M.I.T. Ventures Group, Maude Mining & Exploration (Pty) Ltd, New Age Metals Inc, NewPlats (Tjate) (Pty) Ltd, Revelo Resources Corp, Tiger Resource Finance Plc, Tjate Platinum Corporation (Pty) Ltd, Umhlanga Lighthouse CafĂ© CC, Windsor Platinum Investments (Pty) Ltd and Xtract Resources Plc. I think in total it is 27 companies. You can find the full list and directorships, again, on MarketScreener. You can see a pattern emerge. Criticism and impatience mounts on LSE/advfn/twitter/email etc there is a sudden rushed outpour of interviews on sharetalk, positive RNS, the share price recovers, then CB returns to one of his other 26 companies (or to the beach in tax haven UAE) and goes quiet for a while. Placings after placings. Warrants after warrants. Dilution after dilution. Rinse, cycle and repeat. If anyone ever wondered for the slow progress of his companies over the years. Then you pretty much have the answer here. 27 companies- around 7 of them he is the CEO/Chairman….at 77 years old. You can also understand how overlapping his investments are. Take BZT, which is by no means a cash rich company, it doesn’t even generate income. After a mediocre copper drill assay, out of the blue they bought a manganese company Metalrock (which he was director of) from another company Tiger Resources (which he is also director of). Another of the directors of BZT (I think Finance Director), was also a director of at least one of the other companies. Meanwhile, 5 months after….nothing has been heard about any plans to develop the supposed lucrative ‘drill ready’ manganese sites. I would double check every acquisition he makes to see if it touches on the web that is his holdings. I just discovered marketscreener but I will be using it to check out every CEO/chairman in future. Prediction- I am 99% sure that the next week or two will be full of ramping interviews and RNS...watch this space.

Can't believe that you can still buy these below the placing price given the asset base and what's to come so I've added a few more today. Now bring on the news flow Colin.

The fund raising was not unexpected, nor undesirable imo, in the sense it is there to fund further value accretion from current and soon to be acquired assets, rather than to keep the lights on. And of course the brokers have a vested interest in ensuring that the share price soon breaches the warrant exercise price, so I anticipate a solid recovery from today's lows as the news starts to flow.

Hi the bull, as anticipated last month here's the fund raising. They couldn't do it close to 2p so they've had to sweeten it at 1.5p with a 1 for 2 warrant to buy at 2.25p. I suppose using Black Scholes they can claim the warrant is worth 0.25p. Anyway the shares are looking good for a run up to 2p at some stage for a nice trade.

Yes sure and colin has a record on setting off his cannon. He shouldn't need to yet until at least the good news is flowing and he raises at somewhere close to 10p rather than where we are now. Hope you are listening colin

I only mentioned fund raising because that's what junior miners do on good news and demand for the shares. You've also got two joint brokers, Novum and Shard who need to pay their bills so I am confident that good news and a share price holding over 2p will see a placing to raise cash for further opportunities.

Not sure about fund raising, there have been plenty of warrants issued so money raised there, then the zinc money will start very soon and also the payment by Sandfire. If results are good, I doubt whether Colin really wants to make our own mine and will wait for a comprehensive JV

I tried to sell some over 2p but no bid for even modest size. Looks like the market makers had some stock and just pushed the price up to suck in some punters. There's likely to be another fund-raising on the next bit of good news.
