05/7/2012 14:18 | TGR: We're hearing many people these days warning that it's not a good time for investing in junior mining stocks. The TSX Venture Exchange has been experiencing some of its lowest volumes in six to nine months. What do you believe investors should do this summer? BM: Anybody following my website for years will be familiar with me saying this: You can ignore technical analysis. You can ignore seasonality. You can ignore fundamentals. The only thing you can ever absolutely make money in is being a contrarian. Some very big names in the mining industry, including Rick Rule and Eric Sprott, have said, yes we're in the bottom but it'll be several months before you should invest. Where were they April 25 last year, when I said we'd reached the top in silver? For months afterward, the very best place to be was in cash. You have to look at what people say and when they say it. Very few people got it last year, but I clearly was one of them. So... the time to be buying is NOW... N'est pas? W. | wstirrup

08/5/2012 14:11 | A lot depends on REO prices... There's a company I have my eye on who not only have a large REO mine, but a moth-balled processing plant, and the local expertise to refine up to 17 of the REs. They're in the process of bringing them all back into production... They also will mine Uranium, which even after Fukushima there are still countries looking to build Nuclear Plants to guarantee electrical supply, and U238 will no doubt be in big demand over the coming decades as the former Soviet/US military stock piles have been used up and driven down the prices, prices will reverse and then the fun will start... 17/4/2012 11:36 | Galileo reveals 'excellent' resource estimate at Glenover StockMarketWire.com Galileo has revealed a major independent mineral resource estimate for its Glenover rare earths joint venture project in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. The estimate - which was prepared by GeoConsult International - shows 28.93 million tonnes @ 1.24% total rare earth oxides +yttrium. Total gross in situ resource estimate in the 'indicated' categoryis 16.78 Mt@ 1.45% TREO+ Y2O3 (net attributable 7.42 Mt) of which the apatite-breccia facies hosts 7.41Mt@ 2.20% TREO+Y2O3 (net attributable 3.28 Mt). Chief executive Colin Bird said: "This excellent resource estimate result has demonstrated a substantial SAMREC (South African Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves) compliant indicated and inferred rare earth resource of 28.9 Mt. "Some 2.7 Mt of the inferred resource are contained in surface stockpiles and therefore are without mining risk. "The entire resource is around and below the old open pit and therefore will be relatively easy access and low cost to mine. "The current inferred tonnage and grade of 0.66% TREO+Y2O3, in the pyroxenite rocks is very encouraging and is leading the company to consider Glenover as a large-scale bulk mining project. "These results provide the company with immense confidence to advance the project to a preliminary economic assessment, for which bids are already being invited from leading engineering consultants." At 8:17am: (LON:GLR) share price was +2.5p at 39.5p Story provided by StockMarketWire.com 17th April 2012 Dealers reckon Galileo Resources, unchanged at 37p, deserves a closer look particularly after Rare Earths Global's spectacular performance since flotation two weeks ago. It raised £1.7million in December at 35p to help accelerate exploration for rare earth minerals at its Glenover project near Thabazimbi, South Africa. Word now is an inferred resource upgrade is in the pipeline and a re-rating of the stock should ensue. Read more: | dia43
15/3/2012 23:22 | It would be nicer if that data was properly tabulated, so that it is at least legible. That said, finds 1.5Km around the hole suggests that the ore base is quite huge.. 1.5km, x 1.5km means quite a bit...(~4.5sq Km?) Been a while since I calculated the area of a circle... I wonder how deep it runs, and for how long?:¬)) W. | wstirrup |
