I'm beginning to think that LiarBO might be a robot. It doesn't seem to matter what you say, he just turns out some copy/pasted rubbish that has nothing to do with the subject at hand. He never answers direct questions, he just changes the subject if it becomes awkward. What a wakner he is. It also appears that his answers are slightly more 'human' during the week than at weekends, when the bot definitely kicks in.

If anyone wants to read some proper chat about MED3000, head over to LSE. They had the honesty to ban lbo and his stock bashing antics last year, so you get proper chat about where Futura are right now, albeit guesswork of course. (Anything else would be against the law!) Lbo has turned this board into a stinking cess pit of his anti FUM propaganda, breaking all the rules, and yet ADVFN allow him to continue. Must be something to do with the fact that he and MikeTheBike are the only subscribers posting on this thread, though I don't understand why Mike pays to endure this rubbish. 5 years ADVFN have allowed LiarBO to get away with this! Its all an elaborate marketing ‘swindle’ from rampers who are giving no disclaimers! Unlike Futura who are giving the necessary disclaimers until as no effect beyond placebo has been shown in an adequately controlled study.

Trinity Research even admit the hypothesised effects ‘believed to be happening by Futura are ‘disputed’ and no mechanism of action has to be even shown to get a medical device approved. But it does to need be proven to substantiate its marketing claims.

There is no evidence for the evaporative mode of action from the clinical trials. To show that the evaporation is what makes MED3000 work, you'd need to compare it to a non-evaporative gel

In medicine before determining that a treatment is acceptable it needs to undergo a large number of trials; one of the final stages of these trials are clinical trials; namely controlled clinical trials.

What controlled means is that the new treatment is compared with an old treatment or with placebo. A placebo is a fake treatment given to patients who will not be taking the new treatment.

Patients are given a placebo to overcome the placebo effect, which is when patients get better because they feel they are taking treatment.

It is commonplace in clinical trials for drugs, that a patient will be given a placebo that looks similar to the new treatment and leaves the patients thinking they have taken the new treatment. This is not the case however with regards to medical devices.

The author of this article argues that when a drug proves harmful it can be stopped but the use of a medical procedure/device cannot be undone; medical devices should therefore be under more stringent licensing criteria, not less – as is the case.

The issue with this being that the alternative for a placebo drug being a tablet, in medical drug trials, is a sham device in medical device trials, and with sham devices/interventions come ethical issues and fears for patient safety.

Recent research has shown that the placebo effect is not only similar for medical devices to medical trials; it is considerably larger – the effect of a sham device is almost three times that of an oral placebo.

This proves the case for the need of medical devices to be approved based on trials that compare them at first to sham devices. Once effectiveness has been proved at an early stage it is no longer necessary sham devices be used in comparison, therefore minimizing ethical concerns.

ED in younger men is likely to be overlooked and dismissed without performing any medical assessment, even the most basic ones, such as collection of medical history and physical exam. In fact, in younger men with ED, even more than in older ones, recognizing CV risk factors or conditions suggestive of cardio-metabolic derangements can help identifying men who, although at low absolute risk due to young age, carry a high relative risk for development of CV events. In this view, the assessment of a possible organic component of ED even in younger individuals acquires a pivotal importance, because it offers the unique opportunity to unearth the presence of CV risk factors, thus allowing effective and high quality preventive interventions.
