Agree, a special dividend is not a great idea, just keep buying back the shares. If you hold actual shares and are a higher earner, why would you want to be hit with a 39% tax on your dividend?

A special dividend would likely be terrible for the share price. This isn't a mining company. Keep doing the buy back and invest in the business. A fast grower will attract a premium multiple. Special dividends are for the rest of the short-termist cretins that infest the London market, which is selling its way to oblivion. Better get used to small or no dividends when the US markets are the only ones standing.

when first talked about that would have been over 20% market cap, now 10% - so price reaction might be less than hoped. Hope I am wrong!
