If they get anything for the US business it's a bonus, just need to get that loss making unit off the books.

Chart is a cracker QS99. Thought we would make a move for £1 yesterday but we have had a weak general market, sometimes these things get delayed but that test is on its way. A sale of the USA business will take it through that imho.

Share price should have risen on the RNS, though note that the rules for the buy back moderate how it can be applied as price increases. There will be plenty of churn at this level from mechanical selling from those that have doubled. I've never understood that approach, but there we go. I have added substantially today having only been purchasing north of 75p. It is trivial to see this doubling in a year, with the next catalyst being the NA sale, where any financial return is a bonus. I'd love a license deal for the tech.

On the buy back for the existing facility, it's about 20% through, with between 160 trading days at the current price, and 80 days at 160p, remaining. Money will run out before the share count allowed at the 2023 AGM, but in any case the max buy back quantity of shares was increased at the recent AGM.

Good update, board definitely sound confident and on the ball. Once the US sale is announced this becomes an extremely profitable business. Crazy price at the moment, still looking at 150+ here.

Missed that bit "In the US, discussions regarding a potential transaction are progressing well and an update on the outcome will be provided in due course."

Priced in for nothing but could have some decent value to the licence and could potentially add a lot more to the cash pile and remove a lot of the losses.

Indeed, nice update, trading, US sale, cost cutting to improve profitability, etc etc.....should be through a quid IMO! DYOR....then a US sale RNS would boost it further....lovely stuff.

As part of its ongoing commitment to profitability, Funding Circle has launched a set of cost efficiency actions. This process will result in a simpler, leaner and better positioned UK focused operation. These actions will deliver an annualised run rate cost saving of ~£15 million in 2025

When they dump the US business and bring in Europe, this suddenly becomes one hell of a profitable business. especially when you remove the cash from the share price

Data shared with City A.M. has suggested that big banks are set to withdraw even further from funding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) this year, as high street lenders face criticism for prioritising larger firms.

Agree but they take it to the point where it has no choice like today. Put money on it those two 25k trades that got things moving were buybacks, might be wrong though, hey ho. that took all the stock. Might have been CR!

the rules of buybacks usually mean the broker doing the buying can't chase the stock higher - they'll be constrained by VWAP considerations - which probably means there is real demand from investors too
