21/9/2017 07:22 | Nasty sell off and some dodgy stuff went on (not with the company) but all priced in now and should be positive from here as I initially thought. | brahmsnliszt
21/9/2017 07:17 | Good, now we know there's huge demand for the shares at 920p, and no other major director sells for a year.I suppose we already knew that as the shares stopped plunging around there. | m4ybe
21/9/2017 06:39 | Read the RNS again. Dave B is selling 3m. | mad foetus
21/9/2017 00:06 | Answers on a postcard, please: Yesterday's ann. states that David Walsh & Jonathan Watt plan to sell 3.8m shares. Current AR shows their combined holding as around 1.9m. Add on 400k exercised options and that appears to leave 1.5m share shortfall ... | staverly
20/9/2017 22:41 | Completely understandable that the directors want to cash in a small portion of their holdings - they're still massively invested in the company and have a huge incentive to drive company performance. And also, why shouldn't they have the opportunity to reap some of the rewards of the value which they've created? re Charles Cotton's wife buying at 1350p, I cant see why anyone would have an issue with this, apart from Mrs Cotton. She's lost a few quid but there aren't any integrity issues - quite the opposite! | adamb1978
20/9/2017 18:31 | Yep no issues at all with the directors cashing in a few chips - they more than deserve it. Just pointed out that the price action was not your usual volatility - posters were saying it was normal price action which it clearly was not. | allstar4eva
20/9/2017 18:25 | I'm struggling to see how this is in any way unusual? Nor the consternation about the difference between an announcement after hours or before the open, which are functionally identical. Also forget the fiction about building a book. The word obviously went around, leading to the price drop. The level has thus already been selected and agreed with the participating parties. The price action at the close is also encouraging. nimbo1 - exactly, and it's difficult to think of it working any other way. Nicely underpins the price IMO. | hpcg
20/9/2017 18:13 | Anyone else who has been here for a few years will also recall the previous secondary placing when David Branden sold shares. I certainly didn't have a problem then and don't now.Hence I'm still here having enjoyed a spectacular ride and have no intention of getting off! | hastings
20/9/2017 18:02 | Exactly. It clearly is priced in hence the 30% drop in a week!!! | allstar4eva
20/9/2017 17:55 | The main thing here is as usual us pi's know last, and the price already reflected what was happening in advance of the rest of us knowing. Happens time and again. | nimbo1
20/9/2017 17:46 | Panic, you may be right about how she feels. perhaps charles will be sleeping in the spare room tonight??? | makw61
20/9/2017 17:45 | Ann probably feels the same way I do, like having a beer! Until the am. | nimbo1
20/9/2017 17:44 | Ann Cotton is a PCA not a director, presumably Charles Cotton's wife. She clearly was not aware of the placing which says a lot about Charles' integrity in my view. Certainly nothing to be concerned about. | makw61
20/9/2017 17:41 | By the way Panic as a rule I've learnt the hard way this year if results come out and the share price is multiples of where it was 12 months ago it is highly likely directors will sell some. it normally comes after or during the institutional presentations and at least temporarily always takes the froth out of the price. Im trying to learn from these instances - and should have listened to myself here as id have an average price of 9.50 instead of 10.50! (to give an example of one where it looks like it could potentially happen is KWS - I have no basis for this other than my own thoughts and want to be a holder there). | nimbo1
20/9/2017 17:36 | Given the book closes at 6pm today, i think we can assume it's fully subscribed. Expect an announcement to that effect tomorrow i would think. The thing with these placings is that it's not like us pi's get to take part so i've learnt to pretty much ignore them tbh. If you don't trust management don't invest. ATB | makw61
20/9/2017 17:35 | i hope you are worrying about nothing there - the non exec who bought would not have been told about the placing and the close period was at an end because results had been released. Also the price they paid is significantly above the placing price so it hardly looks suspicious! | nimbo1
20/9/2017 17:33 | How do you account for a director buying at 1350 when they knew about the placing - shareprophets will be all over this | panic investor
20/9/2017 17:32 | My purchase could have been timed better but in the end it means over £30m of new money buying shares in the company. It is a vote of confidence, that cannot be denied. | mad foetus
20/9/2017 17:31 | Yes, that was a good call, nimbo. I agree we may revisit 920 in the very short term, but my experience is the same as yours in that the market will have been very much expecting this and, once the news has been digested, it will set the scene for the price to move upwards again, with some new ii's on board. I'm a lth so i guess my time frames are different to some; for me it's all just noise at the moment until we see some concrete data for JWE which will be the level of pre-orders in i would guess May 2018? I'm happy to wait 8 months. I think it does explain the recent price volatility. The thing to remember is that the ii's have stumped up 76% more than tencent did less than two months ago. 20/9/2017 17:30 | Probably not the fault of FDEV for the way its been handles as its the job of the brokers to run these processes? But hey WDIK, nothing surprises me on the markets these days. | nimbo1
20/9/2017 17:23 | Just hope they placed them all. Not a very professional way to handle it to be honest. | little minx
20/9/2017 17:21 | The whole markets corrupt - wait till we reach the tipping point - you won't be able to sell a bean ! | panic investor
20/9/2017 17:21 | Living up to your name there panic investor Priced in now | brahmsnliszt |
