MXN567 and MXN43,960! Could be a 40-month or even almost 4-year high for silver soon and only ever been higher in the past for a couple of months. Gold has only been higher for 3 weeks ever, with ATH in sight. The share price is bonkers. Who sells with PMs storming up like this?

So last Friday was a simple head fake to get people in cheaper.

US inflation lower than expected.

So rate cuts back on the menu.

I’d say 550p was the floor after that CPI print, Silver and Gold gaining strength, I added

Short term target 800p with the financials confirming substantial free cashflow / profits ?

Very quiet on this thread considering the FTSE is at all time highs, PM’s flying, FRES the only PM stock in the FTSE. And it’s near 5 year lows 🤷‍a94;️ I feel like it’s my birthday and Christmas at the same time

A return to 1300p is a potential 136%

Up again. Silver MXN548. Gold MXN43,161. The uptrend in silver does not look to have broken yet and gold has only ever been higher for 3 weeks. The silver deficit in recent years and higher base for the gold rise this time makes current prices look likely to be more enduring than the (Covid-induced) rises of 2020. Having said that, futures have eased again slightly. Dec 28 closed at $33.49.

The very big drop has already happened, I expect a bigger rise between now and March 2025 when full year financials will reflect a full year of far higher metal prices.

1300p to 550p fall is -57%
The reverse…..
550p to 1300p rise is +136%

If you lose 10% you only have to make 11%
If you lose 50% you have to make 100%, hence keep your losses small

Mexico has 15% of the worlds silver reserve. The government trousers $200m a year from FRES + probably a few brown envelopes, and last time I looked they had over 5000 employees and 12000 contractors on the payroll

This Report provides an overview of the payments to governments made by Fresnillo plc

Kenny - The mining ban is a storm in a teacup, the chart pattern over the last few months here is similar to CEY. Both rose 40% from March lows, FRES has pulled back 15% and CEY has pulled back 11%, no drama, I’m a buyer in the 500’s, I don’t think we’ll see the 400’s again.

FTSE all time highs, gold all time highs, silver breaking $30, FRES will soon follow

Silver MXN541 and gold MXN42,610. So PMs still looking strong and share price still looking weak. Can this go on?

Agree with trader465 .. no financials to reflect recent price rises to boost confidence so when they come they should be very good 🤞🏻. What you reckon on the politics in Mexico Trader465 … some hinting that open pit mining is at risk ?!?

Volatile again today. Just spiked to MXN553 before easing back to MXN547. Gold jumped a little, too, to MXN42920. Still close to brief ATH spike of 44k or so.

JP Morgan has given Fres an £8 target price. Hopefully, these much higher pm prices will get us there and the politicians don't do anything stupid

Silver MXN543. It's only closed higher a few times in the last 3 years. Poltical worries rule for now, though.

I have good news. You don't have to bother losing your own money youself. Claudia Sheinbaum will lose all of your money for you (isn't that nice). She will ban open pit mining.
I think after that it will be............over.

Just see it as an opportunity to lose your money.
Continuous downside to, well, continue.
Beware.
