Thanks Imast.

I see now. Better add a few more.
I wanted some sub £8. Looks unlikely now?

The former. The market cap is 737 million shares x £8 = £5.9 billion.

Also detailed in Note 11 of the 2020 financial statements.

If you take only the 25% free float (183m shares) and then take off those held by large institutions, there are aren't too many knocking around being traded. Which makes the share price volatile and relatively easy to move (in the short term) - both ways.

I understand Penoles owns 75% of the shares? Is that 75% of 737 Million or 3 times 737 million plus the 737 million in the public float?

Pete - I don’t know, as that post states but I do know how much money they’re making.

And yes I do realise the market should know as well - but I’m not convinced they’re paying any attention to it. Being a relative veteran of this share I’ve seen many moves which are difficult to explain - in both directions. I was very surprised at the extent of the rise around this time last year (from 820 to 1250 odd) particularly as it had spent so long below 820. But I wasn’t complaining (much...). 😜

I would assume traders who buy the 'transitory' inflation narrative and thus are eating a small loss here to chase other stocks where they can avoid the opportunity cost of sitting tight in PMs - assuming transitory is correct. Which it may be of course. Or FRES/Mexico specific fear. Or perhaps the feeling that a commodities crash is pending. If the latter does happen, I will buy more, because that I think would be 'transitory'.

What I don't get is who the hell is selling at 807p. Looking at the sells under £2000 on Friday they must be losing money.
The lowest bid accepted can't be any lower than 802p. Add tax and buying and selling costs on a low volume buy. Just to break even you would need to sell at 809p.
Buying £50k at 803p, including costs you would need 807.4p just to get you're funds returned.
So how can or why would all these sells go through under 808p. They are either losing money or breaking even at best.
Anyone explain?

a great post Imastu.
I'm also very heavily into Fres (but more as an investor not a trader)

However, I struggle with the notion that the upcoming results are going to be the catalyst for a positive re-rating.

Surely, as you say, the factors such as commodity prices are known and already factored in to what the results are expected to look like ?

Fres has previously provided guidance on quantity and quality of what it expects to produce, so unless they are going to exceed those (and they have a nasty habit over several years of doing the exact opposite when the facts are revealed) where are people thinking that the surprise going to come from?

Bang on Imastu in regard to “knowing”; your share and having the confidence to go in at what you think is cheap . My views are short term and I do like to take profit when it’s on the board so probably not as patient as your good self . I still think there is a strong possibility of 700s but would not see that lasting long and hopefully we will get a bounce. 1,200p is my short term target . Silver would need to go to $60 for Trader666 to get anywhere near his fantasy 3,000p which is just a ramp from a skint amateur imho .

I personally have taken my first, and will take my second jab when the time comes. I have taken an interest in studying some of the scientific aspects of covid 19 since around March last year and in consequence have made some satisfactory gains from investing/trading in some of the small caps that have been/are shaping up to be quite useful in the fight against covid 19.
I am not an anti-vaxxer or a covid-denier. All that said, I am strongly against compulsory vaccinations and support individual choice. I also think that lock downs are grossly disproportionate to the threat to civilization that covid poses - and I cannot see how the data we have on the volume of covid deaths demonstrates that this is a wild claim, in all honesty.
The more extreme conspiracy theories detract from valid questioning of state decision making, but that cannot be helped.
Covid 19 will continue to mutate but will never be a threat to humanity. Continuing with this crazy approach to covid is just sunken cost fallacy in the extreme. AIMO, of course and without wishing to dismiss those mourning the loss of loved ones to covid.
