08/11/2018 11:13 | PEYCAE, I see what you mean so they broke my trade of 16900 shares into small sells to make the impact less obvious that it was one seller, is that correct. | ken tennis
08/11/2018 10:30 | Morning all! Ken - those "loads of 1000 share trades" are probably the cause of your decision to sell. They are either algos or HFT's - all placed by 'putas and ultimately designed to create artificial price movement in favour of those using the software. Sooner or later, a fund or individual of equal weight will begin to place trades in the opposite direction. This is a particularly dangerous (or easy) company to influence, as the majority of shares are tightly held. I would only consider selling these when the true majority holders start reducing. They frankly don't care about the share price on any given day, as they know the profit potential of the company. They might even be happy to "lend" shares to funds to enable them to short legitimately - for a fee, of course. Trade well and prosper....... | penycae
08/11/2018 09:51 | I think sideways here today until Fed guidance. (No hike expected until December but they should indicate the rate and pace of rises for next year). | hamhamham1
08/11/2018 09:04 | Erik Thanks for that, quick question you may know the answer when I sold this morning there was only one large trade showing on the sell side but loads of 1000 share trades is there a reason for this. Thanks Ken. | ken tennis
08/11/2018 08:28 | ken, missing an opportunity doesn't leave you out of pocket mate. | eriktherock
08/11/2018 08:12 | Well ERIK if that’s the case I will be rather out of pocket let’s see. ATB Ken | ken tennis
08/11/2018 08:00 | Erik. Again I hear your point of view as well. I do not trade like Ken so most likely I will 'sit on it' (as Richie Cunningham would say). | hamhamham1
08/11/2018 08:00 | (901-867=34) (901+34=t935) | eriktherock
08/11/2018 07:55 | I'd say that you're both quite wrong. Should see 938ish today/tomorrow. | eriktherock
08/11/2018 07:54 | I will keep an eye out. | hamhamham1
08/11/2018 07:30 | Ken. Yep looks like it. Plus there seems to have been a mini spike down in precious metals and up for dollar index over the past few minutes? I guess it will be interesting to see what the Fed has to say later re. interest rates trajectory. | hamhamham1
08/11/2018 05:19 | HUSS I like that A tango with panda eyes. Looks like we may go down a bit today as silver miners in USA took a bit of a hit in last few hours of trading. | ken tennis
07/11/2018 22:45 | The Tango one is looking shaky.. I'm not saying he's quite done but if Trump goes so does this decade long rally. | hussyo
07/11/2018 14:52 | Ken. Well I imagine if he gets off light, then they will throw the book at the next up the line for overseeing it on a larger scale. I guess the question is, what will the next up the line tell the investigators to try and get off any potential heavier conspiratorial charges? Didn't JPM inherit a huge short position on silver when it bought Bear Stearns in 2008? All trades (even if they are withdrawn) will be registered and recorded. I cannot imagine it's a very hard exercise to check these stats. | hamhamham1
07/11/2018 14:46 | HAM very interesting article but im not surprised where theres big money to be made, there's always some dodgy characters willing to take the chance. He will get off light if he's got a lot of evidence that can convict bigger fish. | ken tennis
07/11/2018 11:22 | Observation: Randgold (RRS) would need to add 8% to it's current share price to get to where it was exactly 12 months ago. Fresnillo (FRES) would need to add 43% to it's current share price to get to where it was exactly 12 months ago. | hamhamham1
07/11/2018 09:58 | I'll go out in a limb here today.... And if we can get a couple of daily closes above the 957p & 977p (recent high points) over the next few days and weeks then it would look nice on the charts. | hamhamham1
07/11/2018 08:35 | Hasta la vista, dollar, it was good while it lasted | hussyo
07/11/2018 08:20 | If there's going to be political gridlock in the US over the next 2 years then I think long on bull stocks is less inviting, | hamhamham1 |
