12/4/2016 12:52 | abc - agreed with better off in HOC, however, it is good to have a mix. I hold the large caps, mid caps, small caps and micro. I find it useful to overlay the price of silver with the chart of the specific company to provide an indication as to where it should go compared to historical levels. | jamesiebabie
12/4/2016 12:23 | Thinking of selling when it get to just above £10 then buying in again when it get to around £9 as that happen twice this year already. I sitting on profits so that helps but think we in for a real roller coaster next few months with the markets | mrthomas
12/4/2016 11:43 | Fres investors would have been better off in hoc with hindsight. It's done a blinkin triple since Feb! Amazing. | abc125
12/4/2016 10:20 | Fres did have a bigger crash than Rrs so I suppose that goes some way to explaining the discrepency. Rrs:£79-£ Fres:£22-&poun | abc125
12/4/2016 10:13 | Topicel to be fair Rrs has been a star performer vis a vis Fres. It's more fair to say the UK market does not like fresnillo for whatever reason. I had a look at the historic price charts for both Fres and Rrs. Rrs is only 15% away from its all time high (£79). Whereas Fres, get this, is 120% away from its all time high ! (£22). What gives? | abc125
12/4/2016 09:18 | One cent more and we have $16 Ag...maybe she wants gold and silver bands to highlight her stones after all?! Topicel | topicel
12/4/2016 09:16 | Or maybe diamonds are still a girl's best friend? Nice numbers for the quarter out of de Beers has hiked owner AAL by over 6% to a new year high. Who needs gold or silver, lol. Topicel | topicel
12/4/2016 09:06 | And crook it is! London is simply not interested in Fresnillo or Rangold in the same way New York currently loves Barrick, Newmont and even Gold Corp...answers anyone? And Jamesiebaby seems to have put the mockers on $16 Ag too, lol. Topicel | topicel
11/4/2016 22:05 | Lol, no need to exaggerate old boy! $16-plus tomorrow, like the overnight value of Barrick Gold on the NYSE (up almost 7.5% at 16.44) will do for now... :) If Fresnillo doesn't start the day at a tenner a share then something's crook! Topicel | topicel
11/4/2016 21:01 | What will the worlsd do when it goes through $50 like a knife through butter | goldenshare888
11/4/2016 19:49 | abc - I own Silver Standard and TSXV:FF which is going great guns today and my SSL. :) It's like this when the portfolio is looking good. We need $16 to be breached and I'm expecting a major announcement coming from the US either tonight or tomorrow. Yellen making calls around the world? They cannot let Ag go through $16 or the world will fall apart. | jamesiebabie
11/4/2016 16:32 | That $16 target is definitely back in the crosshairs eh, abc? Surely it is the delayed dollar/yen fall seeping through rather than anything concerning the 'expedited' meeting and then Yellen's follow-up chat with Obama? I would doubt that would hold the rise if it was just speculation like that... Topicel | topicel
11/4/2016 16:12 | Silver standard up 10% in the U.S. Currently. Cmon on Fres! | abc125
11/4/2016 15:33 | Barrick racing again in New York, plus 5%, some 15% in the last three trading sessions... Someone is being mean spirited about Fres by comparison still it seems which makes me think the ten pound glass ceiling is still a problem here... Break that and £10.40 should go soon thereafter IMHO, Topicel | topicel
11/4/2016 09:33 | It would be welcome Jamesiebaby as I have a feeling that here, Fresnillo, in particular, it needs to breach new highs to push on to the 1040p resistance during the summer. That means gaining 50p more this week, which based on ABX in New York should have happened today. But I'll wait for tomorrow if I must ;) Certainly appreciated your input, links, graphs as it has aided my understanding of the PM arena. Still trust the basic hold and accumulate 'gold-related' investments during times of volatility such as we are presently experiencing. Earnings quarter now upon us should only exacerbate that situation IMHO.... Topicel | topicel
11/4/2016 09:25 | Top - we might just get it either today or tomorrow then. :) | jamesiebabie
11/4/2016 09:10 | Not much mention of Fresnillo aside from a comment about not just looking at US-based gold and silver stocks. In reality, those US-based stocks have moved about 4% north on both of the last two trading days while items like Fres and RRS have stalled in comparison at a miserly 1% gain... With silver still climbing it might require another one of shock and awe from Madame Yellen to reignite the interest in gold and silver much more into this week for the yen strength seems to be having little impact overall. Any more news from the expedited meeting maybe? Topicel | topicel
10/4/2016 19:26 | An interview of Rick Rule from Sprott, He likes HOC and FRES. | jamesiebabie
09/4/2016 22:39 | Leg is getting re-rated and the fundamentals are rock solid . Transformational news is due this month so read through the rns and make your own mind up because it will multi bag imho Watch this CEO interview from 3 weeks ago :- Also if you look at the daily , weekly and monthly candlestick charts you will see that month on month it's only going one way and one way only . It's also in a golden cross 100dma above 200dma . ATVB | ride the wave 1
09/4/2016 13:56 | This week has been interesting in precious metals. A lot of big cap names I follow (rrs,sa,nem,abx..etc If gold does resume its downtrend we're going sub $1000 most likely. I still have my $875 target unless gold spends a week or two above $1300. Even then I'll still be sceptical - the big cap miners did not have the washout they deserved (unlike the small caps). | abc125
09/4/2016 08:15 | Top - I'm not bothered about PSLV except to say that they have just stated they are now in the process of buying 150T of physical. | jamesiebabie
08/4/2016 19:32 | Maybe. Had that discussion on Kefi Minerals and I feel it can be a false valuation in the eyes of many. RBS are now worth 220 when we know they are really worth 20p but for the consolidation. The original pre-2009 crash holders at £5.50 aren't fooled one bit...they should be worth £55! As for Sprott, it has not impressed the market for their shares are down over 3%... Topicel | topicel
08/4/2016 17:35 | Fres is lagging badly compared to Rrs, why is that? On a side note I'm surprised more punters are not following Rrs. The only reason I can think of is the psychological barrier of buying a share that is high in terms of pounds sterling (£66.30 currently). Maybe if they did a 10 for 1 spilt more private punters would get interested. In reality though it don't make a jot of difference. You still stand to make the same in percentage terms. | abc125 |
