27/4/2018 13:22 | Yep. Let’s hope for at least a couple of quid. | irishlass2
27/4/2018 10:45 | Looks like we finally have our bid? | loafofbread
10/4/2018 23:22 | Actually, I think their clothes have improved. I went into their store on Sydney Harbour 3 times, and each time it was busy. Australia is very expensive but the clothes in the FCCN shop were very reasonable. I think this company is now turning round and this is a good time to be investing in it. | irishlass2
09/4/2018 23:18 | This is starting to look interesting at last. Losses are much reduced and loss making stores are being closed all the time. If profits can be maintained in Licensing and Wholesale then there is clearly a lot of value in the shares. The main concern I have is whether the clothes shops raise awareness of the brand and drive sales in these two divisions and closing all of the shops will harm them. Another thing that has always put me off is i've always thought their clothes were overpriced and poor quality and i've never bought anything there although I wouldn't refuse to invest in something just because I don't personally like it if there are enough people that do to make it a successful business. | arthur_lame_stocks
09/4/2018 12:24 | tvh I feel that is what was eluded to in the statement, dyor. active | srpactive
09/4/2018 11:38 | They should be closing stores and focusing on the more profitable ecom and wholesale activities. | thevaluehunter
09/4/2018 10:58 | S Your post is most interesting, and as fccn close one loss making store the bottom line increases giving more to close another and so on, good post, dyor. active | srpactive
09/4/2018 10:52 | I have added again this morning. Taking a longer view, this looks like more "tidying up" the Group and making it more ready for a Sale. In the shorter term, it gives more firepower to accelerate the Retail Closure programme. Hypothetically, if FCCN had a 10 year lease remaining on a store where it loses £250k a year and could get out by paying a £1m Reverse Premium, I think it might previously have baulked because its cash was "tight" at the low point of the year's cycle. Such "no brainer" deals can now be readily done. | simso
09/4/2018 09:45 | Yes, all looks a lot better, dyor. active | srpactive
09/4/2018 08:45 | Nice £13.9m addition to the coffers for sale of a brand I was scarcely aware they owned. With a current market cap of only £45 m I’m back in (yet again) | zoolook
14/3/2018 14:32 | anyone can say whether it s worth while to add at this juncture in anticipation of furtyher rises or a takeover bid? | ali47fish
13/3/2018 14:13 | I wouldn't sell until at least a £1. | she-ra
13/3/2018 11:33 | Analysis on todays reports over on stockopedia for anyone interested. Very positive too | smicker
13/3/2018 11:28 | The results were well flagged in the interims and the volume was small so dont think there was anything untoward. Agree that the several months of negotiations means the company is now in play and waiting for an acceptable offer. Op Profit of 12.5m for wholesale with a market cap of circa 40m. Its not hard to see what is required to realise this value | smicker
13/3/2018 11:25 | Now running ahead of itself before it has proved it can turn failure into success. Cash is still dwindling. | clocktower
13/3/2018 11:11 | Interesting that the share price by over 10% yesterday...just a day before these positive results were released. Maybe the FCA should be looking in to these purchases. Insider trading? | jaykaytee
13/3/2018 09:03 | Yes I was bracing myself and more than satisfied. Great progress on Wholesale, and gradually we whittle down the Retail Losses, with 6 Further Lease Expiries in year ahead and a Target of 30 Full Price stores by year end. Interesting that they had a bid approach last year, with "several months" of negotiations before it lapsed. | simso
13/3/2018 08:25 | Nice pleasant surprise this morning. | srpactive
13/3/2018 07:48 | Now very close to profitability, which is something but a little late. Wholesale still growing strongly which goes someway to offset conditions in UK. Happy to hold and it may even benefit from problems/closures at a few other competitors. | 18bt
08/3/2018 09:52 | Womenswear up 5% in the John Lewis results released today. Not sure just how relevant but not bad news anyway given recent share price weakness here | smicker
08/1/2018 15:48 | Any idea which of the other retailers provides the closest read across for trading here? | smicker
20/12/2017 09:01 | probably lack of news/impatience and worries about xmas trading! Apart from that, all is fine! | dvb99
19/12/2017 22:59 | why is this one retreating? | kiltrock
02/11/2017 15:50 | Looking better, dyor. | srpactive |
