The brand may be a bit past it in the UK, but it still has value elsewhere, and the company is not bust (for now).

Taken a small position punt. £6m market cap punt.

Feel abit sick after that buy (lol) but it is what it is.

Come on you doomed mediocre brand, let's see if you can get into that £10m-£15m valuation range!

I agree it's worth a punt and so have made a small punt! Seems to me that somewhere around 15p is surely not unreasonable, given that they do still have profitable strands to their business, are rapidly closing down the non profitable ones, and still have a fair bit of cash left? Of course Covid could ruin that who knows. But it seems worth a punt for a 'bag' at least IMO.No advice intended.

Chart looks like it might be turning up here and clearly more interest so a short term rally looks possible, but is anyone else struggling to push the buy button here?

I have looked at this one so many times over the years and struggled to hit buy. It's now down at what appears to be a punt worthy level and I still can't do it! Every time someone mentions French Connection as a brand, I throw up a little in the mouth (sorry :-D)

This brand is almost inevitably doomed to continue being mediocre at best imo.

It's not just that the seller may have cleared. THe point is someone is buying in huge quantities, with volume over 5 million, massively higher than the normal, one wonders if something is happening behind the scenes

You don't get much online -

Once the sellers cleared then 10p plus is reasonable -

Judging from the today's share price action and volume (currently > 2.6m) there's a decent chance WA may be out imo

Looks like a lot of buying going on today, much higher volume than usual

Certainly feels like a large sell order must be soaking up these buys today.

Very limited stock available to buy online.

I'm just here for a short term trade on the premise that a big seller has pushed down the share price to a level from which I'd expect it to recover once that seller is done. In the 4 trading days since last week's announcement that WA Capital were down to 2.94% or 2.8m shares remaining the volumes have remained high so I'm on the look out for a large clearing trade in case they are closing out completely.

By my estimate, volume has been roughly as follows -
16th Apr 1075k
17th Apr 675k
20th Apr 515k
21st Apr 850k

This is priced to go bust but it does make 5.8m a year from licensing. So that has to have a ~20m value on its own.I guess it's running out of cash? anyone?

Tidy jump on the market quoted Offer to 6p. Pleased to find on doing a dummy quote that one has to pay 5.99p for the smallest of quantities.

Not going to happen. Marks’ stake to big. He wouldn’t/couldn’t sell at somewhere north of 60p a few months ago. He’s hung in for decades. Leopards don’t change their spots. Taking it private is more likely
