So, a lot of people now on their Summer holidays, schools breaking up over the next few weeks and Foxtons losing all the gains for the last month on just 55,000 shares volume this morning. Nice, time for a decent top up this week with Foxtons expecting a busier Summer this year than previous. Rentals this year well over £100m revenue and sales and financials expecting their best numbers since 2015. Keep calling them down and I'm more than happy to keep adding. No brainer 🤑🤑 |

Some valid points made there. I live in Richmond and with the likes of Wimbledon and Barnes have seen many big houses put on the market only to be snapped up in weeks. Makes you wonder who is buying all these big houses, AirBnb, hedge funds and banks. It's why rentals will become the norm for many and why Foxtons are in prime position. Sad really but true. |
Even the capital gains tax increase has me worried . Am already in many meetings with business people who have all started to scale back or planning on moving business . Many High net worths both European and US have already left and more will follow The VAT on private school too backfiring enormously as now the state has to pick up the tab and most likely lose the benefits that charity status had ie allowing communities to use private infrastructure. 3 bad parties but the 2 radical socialist ones are really going to crush the UK . Sad really . Luckily I can move but don't like to leave my home and country . Shocker so many will vote for this to happen . All because of the Tories infighting . Really shocking |
In the past yes I agree but the UK economy and the housing market is in a markedly different place when Labour were last in some 14 years ago. Already we're seeing Labour rolling out home buyers incentives, expect this to snowball with the Tories following suit shortly. Private landlords may be in trouble though higher taxes but banks will become take up all the private rental slack. Foxtons whilst advertising for staff for their rental divisions across London are now advertising for sales staff as well. |

I'm sure the MMs are aware that Gittens LTIP only vests if the share price is 70p or more for 30 consecutive days. Maybe they are teasing him by keeping a 70p lid on the price -- the 30 day clock hasn't started ticking yet. |

Some very interesting posts on the other forum with regards to a possible offer from Rightmove for Foxtons. Rightmove mkt cap of around £4.5bn and Foxtons some £200m. Rightmove could easily get a rights issue away and a successful Foxtons deal would be earnings enhancing from day. Shareholders from both sides would love it !!!! Bring it on 🤑🤑🤑 |
Half term over and games already started, first AT trade this morning a 'sale' of 10,000 shares at 70p to knock the bid down below 70p for the umpteenth time in the last few weeks. Let's see what the Yanks get up to later this morning. 🤑 |
