That was original content so once gone, you can't do anything. (more of a break glass in case of emergency show and tell).

Which IMO is worth more than anything else.

No re-edit as I was just testing original content delete chain.

Surely I should be paid for this, as long as we hit £1 I won't issue invoice.

Yes - handy for viewers as well as clippers.

Good question - whether you can re-publish a different edit under the same link.

With most things BB it's not a question if you can... it is capable not might not be implemented.

Edits don't update a published video for me on BB player. I can see why you'd want to lock down a previously published video.

However when right clicking there are greyed out options like 'auto-sync' and 'previous versions' so I suspect this functionality is supported.

WoW missed the fun, well done on the test.

Another feature is I understand it is that the video can be re edited and posted by the owner and all the links will reflect the change done in the re edit.

Very valuable in a professional world as you can run into legal problems with content and an urgency to change the video to comply with legal but keep the essence of the video.

eg. music that has been used with copyright issues needs to be changed but you don’t want to lose all the retweet’s of the original.

Powerful.
But how do we get them to adopt our technology at global scale?

Any mention of ongoing discussions with potential clients etc.

At the ShareSoc presentation IM mentioned a successful POC with Major American Broadcaster.

Haven’t heard anything since.

Cabi, I most like the new player where the content creator can pull/deleted his/her video and every single copy on the net is gone.

I think the rights holders (once they find out about it) should be very interested.



Also the feed/video can be paused frame by frame so I bet won't be on the magicians or tricksters buy list but will great for other uses.

Maybe I can ask Stevo to pull the original and see how it works(mine gone) - may be too sensitive now or ... so not don't hold breath.

Agreed. 90% of the audience is just going to want to watch.

Safe to assume the 1 in 10 who want to clip and share will be capable of seeking out and unlocking those features. Perhaps a long press or something.

Welcome, FBT have had connections to all the major tech companies over the years but due to FBT's opaqueness its unclear (as you say) to the extent and implications of their partnerships.

Since August 18 FBT have been working with Microsoft which resulted in the NAB 19 joint stand and FBT receiving the Microsoft 'stamp of approval

My 'sneaky suspicion' is that Microsoft and FBT are collaborating on something big but have absolutely no evidence to support such a 'rampy' claim

I've only posted twice on any bb, first time last Sunday and now today, I asked if anybody had heard of the Jedi cloud contract, and got no response, the contract is for the US dod and is worth 10 billion, there are only 2 bidders left in, amazon and msft winner takes all, have we some relationship with both these companies to what extent i don't know.

I assumed there would be an API for existing player, i.e. there could be a seamless youtube integration that uses the blackbird codec.

The funny colors at the bottom are presumably useful for editors but I doubt very much anyone would want to see them if viewing actual content as opposed to reviewing content.
