03/5/2019 10:34 | hxxps://www.reddit.c This post used to link to the BBC talking about using forscene as a media viewer. That was the trial. In the twitter not the following: One of 100s of TV shows that benefit from Blackbird's unique ability to rapidly view , edit & distribute video content in the cloud. Why is view in that sentence? Because BBC used blackbird as a viewer and probably still do. FBT would like them to use blackbird as an editer but they do not. Probably the viewer is free. S | mcsean2164
03/5/2019 10:25 | sickness - thx for the link nothwithstanding any other cases of usage... my understanding is many bbc programmes are produced by independent firms who may use blackbird, therefore even though the bbc may not be direct clients of the platform they are users of it (and not just indirectly, bbc staff are liable to have user accounts on the system). this has been the case for many years i believe. | _m_k
03/5/2019 10:23 | Sickness Yes BBC Productions made by Independents (contractor companies) do use Blackbird. It would be nice to see the BBC internally using Blackbird. May still happen not much alternative that’s cost effective imho. BBC is notoriously difficult to fathom. Perhaps sell it to them as diverse rainbow accessibility and eco? | nickb
03/5/2019 09:30 | Perhaps at the AGM, FBT can clarify the evolution of the Microsoft partnership, the extent of Microsoft's input/involvement and what the partnership is looking to achieve. For me, There's seems alot more than anyone is saying and they seemed to (one way or another) to have distanced themselves from Microsoft's rivals GL and IMHO #conspiracyalert #JFK #toomuchcoffee | paulcon1
03/5/2019 09:15 | So the bbc are using blackbird | sickness
03/5/2019 08:40 | It sounds from recent blogs/posts that NAB19 was a 'testing ground' for the new player and (with the Microsoft connection) was cost effective (cheap)to attend. The stand and presentation of the FBT technology looked impressive.. GLA and IMHO | paulcon1
03/5/2019 01:36 | NAB is as much about building long term relationships NAB is a community not just a trade show. A company can have valuable conversations with key people on what the problems the industry faces it’s not just about selling. In fact it’s not about selling it’s about solving. Solve problems and they will come and buy. Perhaps NAB is not like the trade shows in other industries? Anyway the Cloud revolution is coming to the media industry for sure and the opportunity is there for us. The past sales performance simply doesn’t count in this fast changing industry. Being sceptical is fine but you should be doing that from the sidelines of being invested and not owning shares. Imho | nickb
03/5/2019 00:29 | Every NAB is choc full of leads, interested parties and leads. To date, there is no evidence one has ever led to a meaningful contract. | bonio10000
03/5/2019 00:11 | The Viewer is in the billions of users potential just need a web browser and internet connection. Need the video originators to encode using Blackbird though. Why should they and will they? | nickb
02/5/2019 23:36 | 1391 SS also said the addressable market for FBT was billions - some 5 years back. He has the whiff of BS about him. | bonio10000
02/5/2019 21:56 | Hew .......... We need to get our broker to drink some Blackbird Koolaid to help the share price. | nickb
02/5/2019 21:13 | Yep. Hugh certainly seems highly delusional. Welcome to FBt! | geheimnis2
02/5/2019 20:45 | Cabi Nice to see confidence on this bb, if all goes well we should be highly rewarded imho. | nickb
02/5/2019 20:09 | Time to start topping up again over next few weeks, adding to my large existing position. Bought 50k in 10k clips last week, but want to add another 250k into my ISA. Still have a good feeling we are going to come good. SS seems in confident mood. IMHO. | cabi1
02/5/2019 20:01 | We are looking forward to an exciting few months following up on the many conversations with customers, integrators and partners. | cabi1
02/5/2019 18:40 | Well he’s correct. | nickb
02/5/2019 18:17 | 'The overriding feedback from the market is that Blackbird truly is a differentiated technology and an example of this is the choice Xytech made at NAB in demonstrating the Blackbird Player embedded in their application, MediaPulse. This isn’t a big bang with glitter and fireworks, but it is a perfect example of the seamless bridge that Blackbird can provide between a user and the abstracted layer of a visible, high precision content viewer.'
