14/2/2019 18:33 | IM has been there about 18 months now . It seems to me he is having a greater effect than the previous incumbent and might just be able to push the industry into taking Blackbird seriously enough for people to pay for the service. However, although blackbird is clearly a great piece of software, it is struggling to turn brilliance into cash. What business model would work which sensibly monetises this great product? After 19 years nobody has yet come up with a workable answer. Perhaps desperate times require desperate measures! Make it free and loads of amateurs will start to use it and, in some circs, out-do the professionals who will be forced to up their game. Once a user base is established, advertisers will clamour to be included. THEN you can start charging for the ad-free version which has extra tools included. Think of all the sales expenditure you could save! | horneblower
14/2/2019 17:52 | They wouldn’t be the first to do that. | nickb
14/2/2019 17:01 | Perhaps if they threatened to give the service away for free ... | horneblower
14/2/2019 16:51 | I would have thought cash burn will have gone up a lot, all the US marketing trips will have been expensive. But nothing of substance deal wise to show for it...Yet? Great Tech that so far not taken up. | nickb
14/2/2019 16:16 | Town news started to bill in October. The segmental analysis splits out news, so we might be able to get an idea of the value of the total contract from there. | bonio10000
14/2/2019 15:41 | Miton and the board will definitely be looking for a larger share of the firm before it takes off. So lots of under priced options at the very least. | bonio10000
14/2/2019 15:35 | So next fundraising, in August? | mcsean2164
14/2/2019 14:51 | This is like playing cricket when the umpires have mutually agreed to introduce an offside rule without telling the players or the crowd in what circumstances it will be applied or what the penalties are, the players have decided that the actual runs on the Board are not the measure by which their performance shall be judged but by the number of appeals they make (for funds and anything else they think might prolong their innings) and the crowd want to go back to Roman times so that they can vote with their thumbs for life or death of the participants. Realistically if they tought that the turnover would double this year they would have found a way of telling the market so it's going to be the same again or perhaps marginally more. The tricky bit is how much they are spending; staff numbers are up and more expensive (but not incurred or payable until they actually produce results); travel and hotels will be up substantially; the big unknown is how much the US big names are costing. So throwing everything at the wall and hoping mud sticks Turnover £1.05M Loss £3.2M and announcments of wins made the day before the results are declared and reflected in 2019 £2.5M. | chriscallen
14/2/2019 13:55 | AIMSTER Sounds a fair estimate. | nickb
14/2/2019 13:37 | It's embarrassing that we are still discussing whether we will hit £1m in revenue. LOL !!!! | bonio10000
14/2/2019 13:34 | Latest FBT tweet: 'Big thanks to Jon Hanford, Group CTO of @deltatre, for discussing how they use Blackbird for the fast turnaround and delivery of sports highlights packages to their partners' fans. One of a series of client testimonial videos we're producing.' #sportstech #sportsvideo #cloud video | paulcon1

14/2/2019 13:01 | Bonio Is your £1.7m profit? 😉 | paulcon1
14/2/2019 13:00 | Revenue - £1m EBITDA - £1.9m loss Headline in Markets - 'FBT loss widens despite increase in Revenues' - Chairman and NED's to step down IMHO | paulcon1
14/2/2019 12:44 | FY Rev £1m. EBITDA (£1.7m) | bonio10000
14/2/2019 12:38 | Hi Aimster4400 - feel free to tag guesses onto the end of the thread. | _m_k
14/2/2019 11:59 | Hi MKMaybe we could run a results competition? Just guess the revenue and EBITDA +/-. | aimster4400
14/2/2019 09:31 | Odd. I can only get a fixed price quote in 1k shares to Buy. | cabi1
14/2/2019 07:38 | Nick, Some of the lies bonio tells are not even true! He says he’s still in profit with FBT, while screeming failure for the last couple of years!!! Go figure!! | nanga parbat
13/2/2019 23:09 | Only bonio will know the truth! | nickb
13/2/2019 18:45 | They delayed 600, 250+- and 700. So they knew they were okay.. Ring ring.. BWTFDIK sideshow | sideshowbull
13/2/2019 17:24 | SSB But 700k shown on some financial websites yesterday! Could have been a buy in a deal from the placing pot? As a proper sell it should have scared the MM’s but it didn’t. | nickb
13/2/2019 17:09 | There is a delayed 700k sell print came in after hours today, very delayed.. Was wondering why there was still 100k offer this morning. AIM has no shame. On a positive note they are delaying even £20k trades. BWTFDIK sideshow | sideshowbull
13/2/2019 13:47 | Could be advfn data source? There was also a 600K buy earlier in the morning perhaps both trades related, ISA transfer? Large trades can be delayed print to the market Who knows! All speculative buying anyway, no financial fundamentals to value! | nickb
13/2/2019 13:09 | HL are now showing a sale which I don't think was shown previously: 16:37 - 12/02 Sell 700000 7.57p £53,000.50 If this is late reporting it is potentially distorting the market - how does any buyer make a considered judgment about the pricing of stock when the reporting is so flaky? | chriscallen |
