Use in security becomes more relevant as the AI technology develops .... which may involve further developments/tie ups with Veritone I guess

What becomes useful I would have thought is the archiving of security video for future use with archived meta data tags

Right now there are a lot of positives to pack into an interview and I can see Ian doing more come the Autumn (after the H1 results) ...especially video ..where the enthusiasm and belief can really be projected across..more so than with just text. Investors get enthusiastic after seeing the guy at the helm and if Ian can really get across his game plan and the opportunities ahead then we could see a lot of investor enthusiasm once more, come the autumn/winter.

I regularly read this FBT forum and am a shareholder. After what has been a disappointing period for FBT things are certainly turning the corner and there is certainly more enthusiasm and hope that the revenues can finally start to fill more than one trouser pocket ( well certainly having more to show for all the presentations and belief that Blackbird is the Messi of the video codec world) ....There has of course been reasons to be cheerful and reasons to be glum but now does seem as good a period as ever to start shouting from the terraces and get this team winning the way they really should be. In view of the often lively and interesting contributions that many of you contribute here (thank you) I thought now was time to maybe join and hopefully add something to the discussion in what is an increasingly interesting market.

I thought this was also very interesting.

McDonough also stresses that its patented technology is ideal for other markets too, including law enforcement where as an example, body cams are worn. Blackbird enables such video content to be accessed quickly, efficiently and refined, so would appear to have great appeal across such a sector.

Surveillance is another area, alongside aerospace and even medical that could feature in time as the cloud offering in exchange of the historic hardware service is increasingly adopted and could be ideally served by Blackbird.

I don’t think IM would bother mentioning it unless there were good opportunities.

Time for spreadsheet Lees to do a DD or a Bojo.

Yep.

Give it a few weeks and the price will drop back to 5p when the market realises that even a £500k deal has been used up on three months losses and we are back where we were.

Hence why, despite the genius FD forecasting profitability by Y/E, they had to raise enough cash to fund 3 years losses.......for some reason.

If I need a £100 around payday I usually apply for a £5k overdraft.

We are fast approaching the desert for news. Nothing of real magnitude usually happens from the third week of July to the end of the second week of September (all of the lawyers and accountants being away on their yachts or private islands)so unless IM has something up his sleeve that cannot wait it looks like the half year results will be the next thing to influence the share price. Last year the figures were announced on 14th September. I've never been able to understand,, given how small the company is, why it takes so long to issue figures. It must be having a part time CFO as US companies turning over $ billions can get interims out in 6 weeks.

A new study estimates that this process consumes at least 2.6GW of power—almost as much electric power as Ireland consumes. This figure could rise to 7.7GW before the end of 2018—accounting for almost half a percent of the world's electricity consumption.

All because bitcoin uses SHA256 and proof of work.

It's a pretty wasteful industry. That's not even including all the alt coins. Bitcoin dominance is around 40% but the alt coins need a high hash rate to prevent 51% attacks....

Bitcoin is now running on lightning chain, it is super fast.Even the ADVFN coins are fast.A typical ethereum transfer is just about instant.BWTFDIK I invest in FBT?
