10/1/2010 13:22 | Why don't you stick to one handle? LS Lowry over on the DEB thread after abandoning GYAU, Westcoastrich and the other carp handles you have. What happened to you're 'postal strike deramp'? Utter tosh. Chart starting to turn up imo - reckon we'll get that 'trading inline or ahead of expectations' statement anytime now. 10/1/2010 13:16 | bbc Cold snap sees retail sales plunge The cold weather is keeping people away from non-food retailers, with figures showing that sales are down by almost a third from this time last year. | dnfa1975
08/1/2010 16:45 | 5k buy v late on a dead friday...i wonder if the trading update is out on monday morning? we'll see.. | aim11
06/1/2010 13:43 | only problem is that the gardening side is 85% of profits so pinning hope on birdseed is for dem birds if we get a load of plants getting past their sell by date, and this year we could have a late planting season or possibly a short one, could we get a big write off? How do they get rid of slow selling stuff? The heating bill in Jersey greenhouse must be collossal - is it snowing there too? | dnfa1975
06/1/2010 13:40 | those little birds still have to be fed tho...bet that birdseed is flying off the shelves :) | aim11
06/1/2010 13:17 | Dont fancy ordering any plants this year The Agave I planted last summer in the garden is turning to pulp with the snow. I cant even move the bloody pots - too heavy. And they were 40 quid a pop | dnfa1975
05/1/2010 21:56 | Thanks for the explaination, I hadn't realized how hard it is to purchase a large parcel of shares. I think the important Flower division christmas trading will be a success if the E Mail marketing is anything to go by. I received weekly marketing offers in the lead up to christmas which were very slick, without being obtrusive. If they also have the same marketing in the Plant and other divisions, then the outlook should be very exciting. | interceptor2
05/1/2010 20:51 | yeah but u can't trade really in that 3% spread. i mean u can if u want 100 shares, but they aren't really making a market in this stock - i tried to buy 30k earlier this year and they would only go off and find them and in the course of building a 70k position jacked the price up over 10%. they appear to be unwilling to take much onto their books at all so there really isn't a market which explains why the stock can gap v badly. also the constant trickle lower puts off people getting involved and volume drys up even more. all imho. am still confident we will get a v nice trading update shortly tho, and i'm very impressed with the ceo so far esp the refocus on quality and delivery and also the stock issue to get rid of the expensive debt. | aim11
05/1/2010 15:12 | aim11, I don't understand how MMs have destroyed interest here, the spread is 3% which is normal for small caps. I'm still very interested in topping up here on the next positive announcement. | interceptor2
05/1/2010 12:32 | MM's have destroyed interest in this stock imho... | aim11
02/1/2010 11:57 | It's very illiquid and agree, tech analysis isn't good on something so illiquid - - I could probably move these down 5% by selling all I hold which is farcical really. But the same happens in reverse and low volume can set these flying too. These slid prior to the last results then flew on the results - expect the same may happen again here. CR | cockneyrebel
01/1/2010 09:09 | topped up again with 7018 | s34icknote
30/12/2009 14:53 | yeah that's not right. look at the chart pattern prior to the last big move up... i dont think technical stuff works v well on these very illiquid stocks, not enough people trading and looking at the charts. i'm very surprised it went sub 70 which was the level the guys took stock in the placing at. of course if u wanted to buy £1m worth the MM's wouldn't sell u that at 70p but still. am v glad the company has no debt now tho, that makes me pretty relaxed about this one | aim11
30/12/2009 14:03 | support is around 45p on the chart - im only an amateur tho | dnfa1975
30/12/2009 10:36 | 66.5...solid downtrend here, MM's just walking it down on no volume. | aim11
29/12/2009 10:48 | stock will go to low 60s then double on the jan trading update - similar chart pattern to may-aug '09. no liquidity | aim11
23/12/2009 20:55 | hv been doing a bit of research again on this one after such a big pullback from 90p, digging around some review websites...hard to get much info but seems like reviews have been getting better vs 2008, thats my sense. | aim11
23/12/2009 20:54 | Showing 1-10 of 14 items Page: Guest 27th Jun 2009 Reviewer rating: Haven't used Flying Flowers for a while but tired again recently, truly impressed with their improved quality. Especially Strawberry Basket of Flowers. | aim11
23/12/2009 18:51 | CR - check out my thoughts on this one vs IDS on the IDS thread if u get a moment | aim11
23/12/2009 10:32 | down we go...67p..told u this is going under 60p before we get the trading update. not even any shares traded this morning!..lol what a terrible stock this has been the last few months | aim11
22/12/2009 14:29 | When did the CEO buy 13% ? Aha found it. He is under pressure to deliver... The Company has today also been notified that Silenus will finance the Transaction with a loan, and will pledge 3,160,000 Units as part of a package of security against the loan. The granting of this security will not give rise to the disposal of any Units by Silenus or Stephen Cook and Silenus will control all the voting rights associated with this holding. | davidosh
22/12/2009 13:43 | Well the Bird Feed division must be doing a roaring trade in this weather - poor little birds pulling our heart strings. CR | cockneyrebel
21/12/2009 10:39 | Personally I think they'll surprse the market with their t/s as they did with the last results. Far more are aware of the H1 recovery so they'll be lining up to buy on any + t/s with 10p eps already banked in H1 imo. New CEO having bought 13% recently has a lot of skin in the game CR | cockneyrebel
21/12/2009 09:28 | down we go, new 4 month low. i can see this back sub 60 before the next update | aim11 |
