Loganair. I wanted to fly with them for nostalgiac reasons (turbo props) to Portugal . Their prices were of putting.
London city will be good for Scotland , others good for feeding traffic to Virgin , Heathrow, Manchester , I would add Gatwick to that list

W2004 - I think over time Flybe's Exeter HQ will be closed and moved over to Southend and Flybe's fleet will be reduced to no more then 50 aircraft and the non profitable routes outside of those serving Heathrow, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and London City will be closed.

Just spoken to some bellend at Maitland Flybe shareholder liasion.
Tel 0207 379 5151
He said there is a management document recommending that shareholders accept the 1p offer.
I'm not sure where this is but it must have been written in advance of today.
Reading between the lines, Flybe management and staff will continue but shareholders take the bullet.
If I can find the document I will vote not to accept.

They have already considered other interest. This is it. There isn't any time for messing about.

Well the board have recommended it and presumably have sounded out the large holders.
Given the time taken to get this far, the risk of holding out for something better, the immediate need for working cap and risking losing this deal means this is the only show in town IMHO

Is Loganair about - seems to have good knowledge of operations and fleet? I was never a holder but am a customer so would be interested to hear his views on how the new owners will run the business.

Clearly there will be a focus on inter-UK connectivity and with Cyrus Capital as a part owner I would imagine that quite a few routes into Europe that don't really wash their face will face the chop.

Qantas

I’m not holding any shares but do know a few things about aviation. Some landing slots are worth money ie. Gatwick Heathrow, city . And that’s a maybe . They are only valuable if they are used otherwise the slots are given to others who may want them.

If they had serious value. I have no doubt management would have sold them by now.

All the best
