Agree with your post but need to ask the question . What Assets ??

Aircraft for the most part leased , landing slots would be valuable to someone at Gatwick , Heathrow and City but of no value everywhere else.

I would presume some debts are secured against any assets anyway. Going into admistration doesn’t dissolve you of your liabilities. Administrators will still need to pay debts ,trade, vat, wages, etc then anything left over goes to shareholders.

I’m guessing nothing is left over.

The derivative counterparty pushing the price up, get customers who took shorts from high to try to force some out, but the offers on sell side are actually their traders (same firm) exiting at a loss. Also they are dumping via RSP.

That's why this counterparty has stopped taking shorts at this price. You would think if the buying was real they would allow more shorters in :). C'mon lets us park a few more shorts.

Chinese Walls? for these crooks do not exist.

Easy to check them out, but FCA is quite useless

one desk pushing the other one desperately trying to sell. Hahaha.

DB used to do that a lot, I mean a lot.

Look at the massive sells. Two 2m blocks sells now. so why the price is at 3.5p?

The Company's card acquirers normally pass on cash for credit card bookings for future flights, less a proportion retained as security. However they are contractually entitled to retain enough cash to ensure that they are fully secured. The Company's card acquirers have recently begun to retain significantly more cash against their exposure and this change in position has materially and rapidly weakened the Company's unrestricted cash position.

So, is this just specific to Flybe or is this affecting all operators?

Whatsup, what you say is entirely correct. I doubt anyone will bid more than 1p a share for the company. But buying the Flybe business out of administration would be a totally different and much more attractive proposition. For a start you can ditch the pension fund deficit of £18 million onto the Pension Protection Fund. You might also be able to get rid of some of the onerous aircraft leases. You would create massive uncertainty for Flybe employees but if all you are interested in is making money and getting control of the assets then it would be a viable strategy. Of course the Flybe board would strongly resist this happening. My guess is the current buyer is aiming for 25% of the company at which point the buying will stop and the shares run the risk of plummetting to below 1p.
