23/5/2002 19:39 | Some great analysis on this thread. Please could you guys give me your opinions on the Acambis (ACM) chart: Looks positive and ready for a rise in my opinion - what do you think? Thanks. | csnow
22/5/2002 12:47 | looks nice ashley- what do they do. I'm in armageddon mode at the moment (too many sven hassell books as a boy and an unhealthy interest in survivalism). building my bunker tommorrow ape | theape
22/5/2002 12:26 | Ape, It appears somebody hacked into my computer log in, this post was not by me, I will be informing ADVFN in the morning. Best regards Ashley | mr ashley james
21/5/2002 23:45 | despite being a bear, while researching my shorts come across a few possibilities. may be a breakout, but house builders may run out if steam ( but I'm a bear and I would say that) . | theape
21/5/2002 23:21 | NEM (US) clearing major resistance at $30. Take a look at the 10 year chart. Regards, Ian | ian56
21/5/2002 23:20 | Is that a Flag formation on RST ? | backwardation
20/5/2002 14:22 | Looks like its finally gone for the break :o))) Phil | the jitters
20/5/2002 14:15 | In view of my current bullishness on biotechs for fundamentalist reasons ( I think we'll start to see them get revalued upwards similar to their american cousins), driven partly I suspect by acquisition activity of UK ones by USA. CCH is going up on just such a rumour. ACM- I am watching like a hawk (and have just gone long). I like it as a biotech (hey its profitable). was waiting for it to stop falling (seems to be consolidating at the moment). heightened nerves around terrorism may help it, and the USA is short of vaccines in general at the moment (even for flu etc). may drop, but my MACD looks like a buy signal, and RSI has turned back up. | theape
20/5/2002 08:26 | Any comment/views/though | backwardation
17/5/2002 18:38 | Many thanks to everyone on their RST comments....and now ? Does it not look as though RST could stay at/around it's previous highs whilst the m/a's play catch up ? Isn't a FLAG forming on the chart ? All comment welcolmed.... | backwardation
17/5/2002 07:53 | I would be very reluctant to go into RST at these prices- it needs to continue rising today........ | rjmahan
16/5/2002 09:44 | backwardation, there's a good chance with most breakouts that they retrace back near to their breakout price. that's usually the lowest risk entry point, buying on the retrace with a stop set just below the original breakout price. | torturedsoul
16/5/2002 09:28 | goodfella....underst If RST stay above 270p for 2 days+ ....does that not mean that it's "Broken Out ?". And then maybe after the short term m/a's have caught up a bit, start moving ahead again ? Interested in your views.... | backwardation
16/5/2002 08:59 | Backwardation I agree on RST but am waiting for a pullback to breakout at 240 | goodfella
16/5/2002 08:50 | And Radstone Tech {RST}....looks like a chart breakout after the co said it'll suprise on the upside come results on June 12th ! Chart does look superb.... Any comments ? | backwardation
15/5/2002 16:41 | TLW has to break 110 conclusively to break out... | rjmahan
15/5/2002 16:04 | Here is the chart for TLW........ | the jitters
15/5/2002 15:26 | Tullow Oil TLW doing the business today and on a volume spike too. Slap bang on the breakout point of 110p. Phil | the jitters
15/5/2002 13:42 | TS KID I would suggest is more of a price channel than ascending triangle and it is failing to reach the upper line. It is a very strange stock and hard to gauge. | goodfella
15/5/2002 13:34 | BMU - Can someone look at this and confirm. Unusually high volumes. | pacman88
15/5/2002 12:43 | hmmmm just noticed this thead........excelle | dazz17
15/5/2002 12:28 | evenin all. I have to say that the increased volatility in the techs doesn't work for me (perhaps I am lazy or inxeperienced). but my biggest most consistent profits this week are WUN (insurance) and UNIQ (foods) that is keeping me up.. That is a big bear signal to me (making money out of defensives) I am steering clear of techs (IT, BIO, Coms, media), as too volatile, and hunting stocks in defensive sectors. I don't trust this bull market. BUT for a few weeks I have my eye on small cap bios in the u.k. ( very low valuations compared to U.S, and a brief rally in the states underway) but mostly cash as its a weird market at the moment. | theape
15/5/2002 12:17 | check BIE, PHTM, BTB, TSF, TYS | biomax
15/5/2002 12:05 | Goodfella, Well done on PMO, would appreciate your view on VOD short entry point in view current FTSE/DOW rise! Looking good for longs today, and maybe longer but macro spin doctors in full swing IMHO! Volatility is king IMHO! Cheers Ash | mr ashley james |
