03/5/2002 11:16 | erogenous jones: like the name, did you get it from rising damp? the answer to your question above is no? i wonder how did you arrive at such conclusion? perhaps you were looking at very short time span chart. for a double bottom 'w' to be effective the touchdown legs should be seperated by a certain minimum time span, usually thought to be one month. but then you can come accross some mighty w's whose legs are seperated by many months. or a small w within a big w. i have reported some big w's in this thread above. i see vod as trending downwards, not a very good omen! | melfaraj
03/5/2002 08:59 | wos, has been within very tight range having risen sharply earlier on. when would the breakout come? any ideas? | melfaraj

03/5/2002 00:05 | mnr, is it going to break through or would it fail and produce one mighty head an shoulder pattern. i would bet on a breakthrough! | melfaraj
02/5/2002 19:21 | smft, in a good 'boring' sector too, forestery and paper. it seems nowadays the more boring the sector it is the better it does, a sign of investors jitters and lack of confindence. | melfaraj
02/5/2002 16:56 | Cheers zz. I think the length of your charts dont quite show the potential of the TBO very well though. Let me have a go at posting longer term charts...... Of the 3 my favourite is Paladin as the other 2 if they succeeded would be producing TBO's based on recovery rather than genuine long term strength. A comparison of the Soco chart with Paladin also shows this wishy washy sideways kind of consolidation after a large rise and we all know what happened to Soco when it broke ;o) Fundamentals also seem to underpin the idea that PLR is the best candidate although I feel its not quite ready to pop just yet. 02/5/2002 15:45 | prm, nearly. risen today by nearly 20% on successful blood test result. resistance at 50, which can be considerable and therefore if broken can be a decisive breakthrough for this stock. sham: how about compiling a list of all the stocks in this thread into a portfolio and monitoring its progress. | melfaraj
02/5/2002 15:42 | .....or Paladin resources (PLR). Phil | the jitters
02/5/2002 15:29 | What about Old Mutual (OML), anyone care to comment on the chart? Phil | the jitters
02/5/2002 15:16 | Fanta, thanks for your opinion Johnv | johnv
02/5/2002 14:59 | here is a selection: - hrn, just about? - atu, a tiddler with tightly held stock. hasn't broken through yet but likely to do so very soon if it vertical recent rises is anything to go by. the graph has described one mighty 'w' figure spanning some 5 and half moths. and buy a jaccuzzi with your profits! - brs, just about. | melfaraj
02/5/2002 14:36 | here are 2 in the investment companies sector: - gss, no breakout here, for simply there has been no dips in the graph, up all the blooming way! and has gone up 50% since sept 11th. - try, again no breakouts because of lack of any dips to speak of. but the rate of climbe is not as hectic as gss'. i pointed out 'cost' earlier in this thread. this has been since going through the roof, up over 13% today, lots of institutional buying disguised under the 'not known trade' banner. but while advfn's software cannot work out the nature of these trades my own, located somewhere in the upper extremities of my body, has worked them out. | melfaraj |
