My experience of the few times I have used services provided by FGP, is that I am just a parcel being moved with the minimum of cost. That's fine if you actually are a haulage company, but it doesn't build customer loyalty, indeed your customers actively seek out alternative service providers, whilst telling all and sundry how dreadful your services are. I form the view that no director of this company goes out and uses their services as an ordinary passenger. It's pretty straight forward to pare down the costs of running a business, it requires a lot more imagination and skill to build up a business, to generate more custom and loyal custom. I don't feel that this company has those skills. Mind you Stagecoach are no better, perhaps it's just the dire culture of the passenger service industry?

I think I will track this one down. The weather is bound to have caused disruption and the nut behind the wheel might be a bit loose. I think i will keep myself seatbelted in elsewhere before I hop on board this one.

Boraki, fewer faces at screens today, plus this weather won't help the bottom line here.

WTF is going on with this share.

It has become more unstable than an aim share.

5% up yesterday 6% down now.

FFS what is happening to the markets and shares at the moment?

I doubt you would keep ploughing part of your salary into the company if you thought there were problems ahead.

Although he gets paid too much, it is still a good sign.

Would you plough your money in if you thought they were in trouble?

A good sign imho,

When he stops then you can be worried

well that just shows the silly money directors at this company get paid. with this standing instruction he also gets 2500 options free shares every month approx ive not checked. they need to knuckle down and get this company into profit and stop having a jolly at the shareholders expense .

Very true Patricia!

How do you see the Share Price going this year, historically it always goes up Spring Summer then dips? I hope it does the same this year!

Perhaps the best (or worst?) example of a company facing a significant pension deficit is bus and rail operator First Group (LSE: FGP). A similar study by JLT earlier this year found that it had the largest pension liability of any company in the FTSE 250 (just over £4bn) relative to its market cap (£1.2bn). Although the value of First Group has increased very slightly (to £1.4bn) since the report was published, that’s still hugely worrying. With the shares trading at less than nine times forward earnings, it strikes me as a value trap of the highest order.

Pension deficit now down 50 Million to 300. Excellent progress by the board.

Revenue from the South Western Franchise alone values the Company at over £1 a share ( SWR Gross turnover at 1 Billion a year).

Just checked the latest annual report and the pension deficit was only 350m gbp. Probably lower now.

Nearly blue finish! I spent considerable time looking at level 2 today . I think many day traders looking for a quick few percent are now out.

Should bring some calm next week and past history shows good share price growth every Sring. I still think we will be up at the £1 mark in March for sure!
